I was trying to notify admin. about what happened, but each time I got a 'there is no such person...' on the page. So I will tell what happened here...
Yesterday, 10-20-09, as soon as I logged on to the forums a red banner began to falsh 'you are a winner' at the top of the screen. Of course I never opened it, just ignored it and kept going, but then it changed and wierd things began to happen to my laptop. At the end I had 37 issues popping up from worms to trojan horses, Spyware, and the like.
Any other people have this problem..?
I'm using my desktop now because there are still some issues with my laptop that the security tool isn't fixing.
I do not know if it entered through this site, but the banner only appeared here. I know these things happen, and it sure is frustrating!! Anyway, just wanted to pass along the info to admin. and others who may have run into the same problem.

Thank you for the response. I have things worked out now on the laptop, although I am now getting the 'you are a winner' flashing banners whenever I log onto this site again. It does not happen with other computers. Not sure why it only happens here...

You could always go to the Computers forum and ask there for advice as to how to clear this off your laptop.
