To upload pics and link to them...Dummy 101 version. How To Make A Screen Shot: Go to Google Maps (<--LINK). Look up your street or house in the search bar. (All further instructions will be for a desktop computer...I do not have a laptop, so if that's what you have you will have to have someone else tell/show you.) If you look at the Function buttons on the top of the keyboard...it will go across the top...F1-F12. Next to them (on the right) should be a button that says "Print Screen" or some version of that (sometimes not the whole words). (LINK TO PICTURE) Pull up the screen you want to do a screen shot of, make sure your mouse arrow is out of the way, and hit that "Print Screen" button. Now you have copied a picture of that screen (everything you see on your monitor) and have to paste it somewhere. Since I don't know what photo editing program you have, I will go with a safe bet and use Paint...it's on just about every computer. OK...lower left corner, click the Windows symbol to look for your program. (LINK TO PICTURE) Look under "All Programs" then "Accessories" and you should see the program "Paint". Double click to open. (LINK TO PICTURE) Your Paint program will open and look like THIS (LINK TO PICTURE). At the top, under Edit, click Paste. (LINK TO PICTURE) Now your page will look like (LINK TO PICTURE) (except with your house, not mine) Select the area you want to crop your picture to. Then at the top, under Image, select the Crop button. (LINK TO PICTURE) Now your picture is cropped, and you need to save it. Under File click Save or Save As. (LINK TO PICTURE) Choose the folder (or desktop) where you want your picture, and type the name you want it to save as...then click Save. (LINK TO PICTURE) You are done...that is how you do a screen shot!!!! How To Upload To The Web: Now to get it onto the internet so we can see it.... First you have to go to a web site to put your picture on (it's called web hosting). I will give examples using Photobucket (<--LINK). If you don't have an account there, sign up for one (they will require an email address, and they will send you a confirmation email that you will have to open and confirm before you can use their site). (My photobucket backgrounds and colors may look different then the defaults yours will set up with since I have used custom backgrounds, but where you click will be in the same places as mine.) Once you get your account set up, you will want to upload the picture you created. (LINK TO PICTURE) Click to upload, find the folder and picture you saved, then click Open. (LINK TO PICTURE) Your picture will upload and it might send you to a page that looks like THIS (LINK TO PICTURE)...just click "Return To Album". It might skip this step, depending on how you have your account setting set up. You will now see the picture(s) you have uploaded. You now have your picture online and can post it to the forum. To copy the link to your picture: On your photobucket page, highlight the line that says "Direct Link" beside or under the picture of your choosing. Copy (CTRL + C) that url that is highlighted.(LINK TO PICTURE) To Post On The Forum: Now you are ready to post your picture so we can see it. Log onto the forum, open the discussion you want to post it into, and click to post a reply. Now type out what you want to say. For Example: "I found my house on Google Maps...(LINK TO PICTURE)". Now highlight the words "(LINK TO PICTURE)" and click the link button above where you type. A pop up box should come up. You will see the words you highlighted in the bottom line. (LINK TO PICTURE) In the middle line, paste (CTRL + V) the url ("Direct link") that you previously copied from your photobucket account. (LINK TO PICTURE). Click OK This will automatically put the proper coding into your post (LINK TO PICTURE). Now you can click OK and your post will have a linked word that will allow someone to go view your picture.

Here's my little old house. When we bought our house, it was so under duress! I did not want to live here, I still hated this town, and all that kept me here were my children and my shul. I Wanted Out. I wanted to Go Home! But we had left the old church, and G-d had been dealing with me STRONGLY that I was to give in and we were to buy a home. I was to quit standing in my husband's way. Long story short, I did, and our first meeting with the real estate agent was on . . . 9/11/2001! Again, long story short, we bought this place, and it was UGLY! But the main stuff was on one floor, there is a ramp to the front door, and the back doors are at ground level. Then, I had no hope that I would be long without a wheelchair, and it was right after my two rear-ender accidents, so I was hurting. Furthermore, it had a garage for him with a shop area and a large-ish storage, a carport for me, and a workshop in the basement, along with a guest room and library upstairs. It was also like when we bought the living room furniture: I was sick of shopping. But I think the L-rd wanted us to buy there. We did. One day, my husband looked under the UGLY siding on the old house and found nice white siding. He started tearing it off, and I suddenly changed my mind about our little house. I started LOVING it! The house was built in 1905 and completed in 1906. I have been very happy there. Now that I have confidence that I will not be in a wheelchair anytime soon, I still love it there. It is all we need, especially for just the two of us.

Yes, my husband's truck is there. I don't like to think about it because it is just creepy to me.

By address, no. But you can see our house from the "main street" in our town. Our van is in the picture. Very creepy, IMO. I did think it was neat to look over the area on the satellite view. I also looked up the stupid farm that owns the stupid tractor that hit my not-stupid husband. It was interesting to see how HUGE their farm is compared to others in the area.
