I have my dream job. I'm a television producer. It's all I've wanted to do since I was about 12 years old. But, now I have a couple of dream projects, so I still have something to shoot for!

A writer and a musician. I've worked as a writer for a long time and lately have been triying my hand at freelancing (hard but fun). Still working towards that, but am now working in admin (ughhh). But I've passed the first round of interviews for one writing position and am waiting for them to schedule round two, so prayerfully I'll get it and I'll be back writing again (oh yeah!!!)

a non-fiction writer and a harpist. I would also like to teach or be an investigative reporter. but still booking gigs on the harp.

Very good question. I am still trying to figure it out. But, some ideas that have crossed by mind:
1. Biblical scholar - The Bible is fascinating. The study of God is amazing.
2. Journalist - It is time for this profession to have an infusion of people who understand about putting the facts out there before injecting their own bias opinion. Sadly, as you know, the current members of the media, generally speaking, have forsaken their commitment to what journalism is all about.
3. Member of Congress - it is time for a shift. A return to common sense, national pride, intelligence, integrity, and a turn toward changing the landscape of our country for the better.
4. School teacher - the importance of shaping young minds is incalculable.
5. Concert pianist - too late for me, and not enough talent, but, a nice dream.
6. Radio and/or tv talk show host. Instead of looking at all the symptoms of our sick society, let us focus on remedies, and the only True answer...
7. Author - I love words. To write a book, fiction or non-fiction which encourages others would be fabulous.
8. Philanthropist - If I were rich, to change people's lives by giving away money, how fun that would be...and rewarding...
That is about it. The only question is, how do I move from my current job which is a complete dead-end, toward something better which will help to not only provide better for my family, but, provide my mind with the stimulation it needs to grow. I am grateful for my job in this economy, but, my mind is shrinking...

Having done many different things that qualify as 'dream careers", the one constant is that every 'job' has rewards and every 'job' has elements that get old after a while.
In thinking about this topic, it dawned on me that I preferred to think in terms of opportunities rather than a 'dream career'. For, if we are always ready to serious consider an opportunity when it comes along, then we can find that a full rich work life might cross many different career paths over a lifetime... with each new path being a offered by that that went before.
Seeing one's vocational life as a series of opportunities, rather than a series of jobs or a 'career' also helps when one's dream career disappears. In my lifetime I have seen careers like Linotype operator completely disappear and others, like computer operator, that paid very well in the 1960s becomes less valuable. Those focused on those 'careers' were crushed. Those who could see that the loss of that profession was due to displacement by other technologies offering new opportunities kept right on going and growing.
At 65, I am still confident that new opportunties will come my way. But, as I look back over all the wonderful vocational opportunities that have come my way, I have to say that being a junior high science teacher was the most personally rewarding from an inner point of view. I've videotaped world leaders and the great National Parks, I've sat on the floor and played video games with the CEOs of the world's largest toy companies, created computer software for the mass market and designed software for companies like Mobil Oil and international organizations. But, NOTHING matches the memories and great feelings that I have from the few years I had as a teacher. I STILL feel that was one of the most important things I ever did with my life.
