Along with all the fashion experts who tell us to de-emphasize a big bust by wearing a v-neck. Ummm... where do you find a v-neck shallow enough not to give you cleavage these days?

Every time I see this thread pop up in my subscriptions, a son g runs through my head....

Head and shoulders, knees and toes,
Knees and toes,
Knees and toes,
Head and shoulders, knees and toes,
Eyes, ears, mouth and nose!

I guess I'm comfortable revealing all of those at once in public. Except right now, when there's snow on the ground.

I can do a V-neck but it is tough. I have found a couple that are a bit wider and not as long (or maybe they just fit me that way) so they work. But then I have to deal with the question of it being snug enough to not fall away and show everything but not being too tight. Thank goodness for dressing rooms and return policies.

I have a few v-neck tops, but not many. Then again, I'm flat-chested, so it probably doesn't matter much.

I voted knees but not shoulders, but I take that back a little. I am okay with tank tops, but every time I wear a sleeveless dress I think I look like I just got out of the shower and am wearing a towel

But ladies, when you are a little on the short side, a dress a bit above the knee makes you look taller!

overall...not much of either....

but it really depends....I am okay with southern belle type tops (off shoulder)...but it depends HOW off the shoulder.....I am okay with tank tops....just as long as the holes don't show anything around them

my knees are knobby...lol...but I am okay with showing them at home.

For the most part...I wear sleeves, and my skirts below the knee...or capri pants.....just easier..that way I don't have to worry about offending anyone else...and I never feel uncomfortable wondering if my sleeve holes are gaping.

And I don't believe most fashion experts...a V neck actually draws more attention to the bust..and my poor SIL who is 5'0".....does NOT look taller or like she has longer legs when she wears a shorter skirt....in fact...it makes her look like a little girl playing dress up (and she is 37!)

I'm OK with both, but not too much of either. Any skirts/dresses I have which show my knees only just show them. And I don't have a problem with any shoulder showing as long as the garment doesn't dip too low.

I love V necks but have the same problem others have mentioned. All V necks currently available go way too far.

Yeah, you know there's a problem with v-necks in general when they show not only the top edge of your bra, but the bottom edge as well!

I voted for shoulders but not knees. I live in a very warm climate all year round, and I'd die in the summer if I didn't wear sleeveless/tank tops. I do check for modesty, though with the cleavage/arm holes. As for the legs, I prefer long, flowy skirts that hide my problem areas, and to me, theyre cooler, too.

As for v-necks, depends on the plunge. But then again, I can always wear a cami underneath so I don't worry too much.

I have a couple too but if I don't wear a cami underneath they are so very not modest.

Ditto!

I can wear SOME skirts, but my rearside is a bit big for a pencil skirt so I tend to wear slightly flaired.

Pencil skirts and this pear-shaped body do not like each other. AT ALL.

I have found tapered skirts (larger at top, tapering toward knees) to work better on me than circle skirts, which just make me look like an overgrown little girl with a huge butt.

V-necks are my friends!!! I don't find them bust minimizing but enhancing!! And I'm on the small side in the chestal area.

As far as the ones that dip too low ---> that's when I am the queen of layering!

I find I'm more apple shape than pear shape.
