I have a few ties for #1: That I find a job (looking since May) That I can find some kind of progress in treating one of my illnesses That I can find some emotional peace while dealing with said illness

ORIGINAL: solo_soprano23 I have a few ties for #1: That I find a job (looking since May) That I can find some kind of progress in treating one of my illnesses That I can find some emotional peace while dealing with said illness I have been praying for you solo ... I really hope you can find both a job and relief, and I know our God is able to provide both in His good timing if and when He has determined it is the very best thing for you. Until then I pray He holds you close. I have an unspoken request for some possible health issues.

I request your prayers on behalf of Rev. Nigel Mumford, director of healing ministries at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in upstate New York. He has been hospitalized with pneumonia, and his condition has taken a turn for the worse. Rev. Mumford has spoken at my church a couple of times in recent years, and his ministry has touched the lives of many. Thank you for your prayers.

So many prayer requests tonight... * My Aunt in Georgia was just taken to the hospital for seizures. I knew she was having some health problems, but I didn't realize she was getting this bad. Her children are traveling to be with her, so they need traveling mercies. I have been to my parents' house twice this week, and both times there were ambulances in the neighborhood. * Please pray for the H. family... they are elderly. I don't know what's going on there, but they had an ambulance and fire truck there Monday night. * Please also pray for Marion and her husband, Wynn. They are also elderly. She has not been doing so well lately and her grandchildren have had to come down to be with her. They have called in Hospice because she has stopped eating. It doesn't sound like she has much time. Her husband has been spending a lot of time inpatient at the cancer center. Over the weekend, when she took a turn for the worse, they wanted to let him go home, but couldn't because of his health. Well, they let him come home, but the ambulance was there today to take him back to the cancer center because of some bleeding. The neighbors are very concerned about both of them, but especially him. I believe they are Christian, but I'm not sure. They are surrounded by Christian friends.

Just an update... my Aunt is doing fine, but they are still looking for an answer as to why she's having seizures. Marion passed away last night, but her husband was right there with her. He had an opportunity to pray over her and to sing to her (awwww!) during her last day or two, so I'm really glad that he had that opportunity. That's what I was praying for.

Lifting up each of the requests. GnM, what a blessing that was that Marion's husband got to be with her.

Dad just went to the hospital this afternoon while on vacation... found out he had a mild heart attack. He's having a catheterization done right now, but they're saying he'll be leaving tomorrow. They'll stay with family and finish up vacation, then mom will drive home later this weekend.

The Lord blessed me with an opportunity to speak wisdom into an Army buddy of mine's life and to share my faith with him. Please pray that my words will help him and that God would use me to lead him to Christ's kingdom. Also, please pray that this friend would have the strength and courage to make some very tough decisions in the coming days and weeks. Thanks

Praying for Lauryn. My dad is home and resting well, but he now has a fever. The doctors said that was normal, and that his body's immune system was fighting, but it's always a little worrisome to us, especially with an aggressive flu season and days after a heart attack. Please pray. (Just looked it up online... looks like it may be Pericarditis, based on the information I got from my mom and her conversation with the doctor).

I broke up with my boyfriend of 7 months because he is not Christian and has shown no interest. No one cheated, lied, or anything. We were happy and got along great. We are both middle aged and thought we might grow old together. I should have known. What am I talking about, I DID know. God told me clearly to run the other way and I disobeyed and now I'm paying the price. I've never been so in love in my life and that includes my ex-husband. I know I'll never be in love like this again and I ain't just reciting lyrics. Before I was saved I had 5 suicide attempts and that was over 11 years ago. I've been hanging on the past few days and tonight I am so angry at God, I've started to wonder if He would rather have me dead or un-equally yolked. Must be a tough call. I don't know if anyone will read this or not. I mean, here I am not exactly a baby Christian, knowing the Bible verses I need to refer to, having gained much wisdom from God over the years. I'm kinda like Beth Moore only not so high strung. I could write a book. And tonight I'm sitting here really stumped wondering if God would rather have me dead and with Him or with the man that I love? Oh but then there is this song by Rachel Lampa : "Let everything that breathes praise you The earth the sky the sea praise You Just as nature shows to us Your blessing Soon I find my heart confessing Chorus: My love is not my own It all belongs to You And after all You've done the least that I can do Is live my life in every part Only to please my Father's heart Love is all Your need to heal us Flowing from the heavens Jesus And with one voice we'll sing together And this will be our song forever" Rachel my sister, if only you knew how much your songs, they way you sing them with that voice of yours.... how much you have ministered to me in my darkest hours.

(((((Heknowsme))))) I love your screen name, by the way. I know what it's like to be hanging on by a thread. Break-ups are tough, especially as we get older and begin to wonder if we'll ever marry. I don't have any sage words of encouragement or advice, but I will be praying. Know that God does have a plan for you... it's just hard to see beyond your own pain and anger while you're in the midst of it. Hang on, dear sister!

Asking y'all to pray for a young friend and former student of mine. He is CPR and first aid certified, and Tuesday night a friend of his collapsed at a social event. My friend was first responder, and he and another classmate administered CPR until EMS arrived. He died, however, minutes after arriving at the hospital and it was later discovered that his heart was twice the expected size...apparently an undiscovered congenital heart problem killed him. My young friend is doing ok...he is an intelligent, wise and caring person. However, I am concerned for his soul and the souls of his family. These are some of the nicest, smartest people I have ever met, but from what I can find out, they only have a 'quasi' sort of religiosity. This is the perfect opportunity to talk to my friend about salvation, but it will require some sensitivity with which I am not abundantly blessed. This is what I said to him, hoping to open a door to visit with him about salvation: "It sounds as if F. was truly a precious person. I sincerely hope he is in a better place. You are an intelligent person, Adam, and I believe that now you will be even wiser, with this experience to deepen your understanding. There's something about facing death head-on that helps us realize how important it is to prepare for the afterlife. I hope you and I can discuss this soon. I'd like to hear your views on the best way to get ready for death and the afterlife." My friend believes that this classmate is "in a better place" although his classmate was a devoted muslim. So pray for my friend, his family, the family of F., and for me... shallbe
