I know.  I just wanted to call this to everybody's attention. Some adults think capital punishment is a good thing, some think it's bad, and some just don't care.
I want to know where the teens stand on this. From what I've read in the Bible, I don't think capital punishment is something Jesus would have encouraged. If I'm wrong, show me the verse, because i haven't found one.
My question: Should capital punishment be part of America's punishment system?

Hmm...good question. I guess in the back of my mind I've always thought yes, because the people who do recieve the capital punishment do HORRIBLE things to their victims. But IDK...I guess I'll have to investigate this one...
Just as a side note, Jesus called the pharisees a brood a vipers.  He came in and overthrew tables and kicked some dude's rear ends because they were misusing His temple. That doesn't sound like the nice, loving, clean, politically-correct Jesus a lot of us know and love. But yet He also had little children climb up in His lap and tell His disciples to be just like them. All of this He did because He is God, and He brings glory to Himself. Do you think capital punishment or even abortion could ever bring glory to His name? Another question to investigate...
