We don't see previews for the next episode here- they don't show them. Annoying.

Great episode! I don't have much more to add than what you all said.

But I will say that if what Duane said is true - I don't want Tony and Ziva to get together. Some of the best tension on the show is those two and their secret love. It'd change the dynamic too much to have them acknowledge it.

What I read in TV Guide is that Tony and Ziva will dance around each other, but won't get together . . . at least this season.

Much of the time relieving that tension kills a show. Three come to mind, Frasier, Moonlighting, Who's the Boss. I'm sure there are more.

That's because the writers see marriage as dull and boring otherwise they would be able to handle the transition.

I agree...then if they do have a married couple, the man is a bumbling idiot.

LOOOVED the ending. The usual NCIS twist. My only question is: how did Gibbs get from 600+ yards away to in the building so fast?

Seems to be the common question. It raised a red flag right away for me too.

Tim and Tony had to fight to get out while they were practically dragging Ziva along, since she couldn't move very fast. Gibbs just had to run. (And isn't Gibbs practically superman anyway? )

Gibbs is a former Marine and they can do extraordinary things.

It doesn't matter how Gibbs got there. He just got there in time!

I loved this first episode of the year. Tony was great "You got 30 seconds to live. Remember, I can't lie." You knew Gibbs was out there somewhere.

As I posted in last season's thread, I do not want to see Tony and Ziva or McGee and Abby get together. I don't mind the little tension that is present with them liking each other but not fully coming out and saying it. If they do get together, it will be too much like a soap opera for me.

Why do people watch tv when they have a problem with "willing suspension of disbelief?"

He got there so quick because the show was almost over and they still had another scene to do

So--it didn't bother you that Abby tracked a terrorist to Somalia via Kaf-Pow, but it did bother that Gibbs was there to end the scene?

Oops, somehow I missed that. You're right of course, it's just nice when things aren't quite so glaring. It's certainly not enough to bother me. It also may be that a little more time was supposed to have elapsed than we were able to see. *shrug*

PS103, you would have gotten along great with my dad. He'd get frustrated with me when I'd point out the holes in a show and say F-I-C-T-I-O-N!!!! My answer always was, "Good fiction should still make sense scientifically!" BTW, the Kaf-Pow part bugged me too.

Actually, the Caf-Pow part didn't really bug me. It's almost like tracking packages via UPS or FedEx. Except on a much more extreme scale.

Was that not the funniest/ridiculous thing you ever heard? I rewound and listened again to be sure I heard it right...

Kaf-Pow!!!

Beverage of choice by terrorists

Doesn't really have a ring to it.
