Sometimes it is hard for my tiny finite mind to grasp how truly he loves his children. He knows us better than we know ourselves. That is an awesome thing, in and of itself.

Psalm 31
1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

Psalm 32
1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

I love the psalms and pray a psalm or a portion of a psalm each day. But I love this thought from the psalm you posted.
Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance. NASB
What a beautiful truth! When we live in loving, open, honest relationship with the Lord, we are surrounded with songs of deliverance. That is the place of no fear. . . surrounded just like Jerusalem is surrounded by mountains. So the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous; that the righteous may not put forth their hands to do wrong! (Ps 125:2-3)
Surrounded. . . a lovely reality for the redeemed. Thank You, Lord.

Psalm 35

Psalm 38
1O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

Psalm 39

Psalm 40

Jane, thank you again for taking time to post all of these. They are such wonderful reminders of who God is. I am sooo very thankful that He is faithful to deliver me out of all the muck and mire in my life. He knows when I am spiritually poor and needy. He knows me better than I know myself. I praise God that I can call on Him and believe that He hears my cries. May He continue to speak to you as well.

Psalm 41

Psalm 42

I was looking forward to this verse coming up. I have made this one of my "memory verses" for when I have a restless night the LORD comforts me with this verse.
Psalm 42:8 (NKJV)
The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime,
And in the night His song shall be with me--
A prayer to the God of my life.
IwillseekHim, I agree with your post about Psalm 40. Not-Home-Yet, I agree in thanks for your continued dedication to post a Psalm a day. I have often wanted to add a psalm a day to my plan and now I have. Thank you, you are a blessing. Glory to GOD for the many many ways He uses us to bless others.

That is quite alright prayn4u I enjoy doing this it is a pleasure to do this each day.
Even when my hubby has done it for me,I have taken my bible so that I don't have to miss one psalm.
God is Good and I thank Him for placing this on my hreat to do.... love Jane

Psalm 44

Psalm 45
