Thanks for your prayers.

I'm in spandex gloves as much as possible, night and day now, to help with swelling. I've got sheets of exercises to do every hour. They hurt like crazy. John wasn't happy with what she had me doing yesterday. Said it was too hard for me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the woman is a witch. Seriously. She didn't feel comfortable having 3 Christians in the room with her. (John and Joan came to see what I'm supposed to be doing). The 'artwork' around the room left much to be desired. Most people wouldn't have a problem with it, but as spiritually sensitive as Joan and I are... Going back next week to take some light into that place.

She said that she wasn't sure what she could do to help, and hoped that her colleague would have other ideas next week. (The woman I met yesterday will be on holidays next week). She said she hadn't seen many like me with that particular problem.

Seems today I'm off to a rolling start. So far, I've had a box and 3 packages of books arrive for me.

Hi Edith!

I'm on some pretty strong painkillers right now. The dosage has just been increased by the rheumatologist. If this doesn't work, she wants me to go on patches that normally only cancer patients take. I don't like the lthough of it, so we'll see.

I'm being referred to a chronic pain management clinic. They've got more experience in this kind of thing.

How are you doing?

Not too bad. My arthritis has been really bad these last few weeks. So I take a lot of Tylenol 650mg. Somehow it's OK if its only one or two places that hurt, but when all the joints go at once it can be a little tough.

I don't know how you do it Trish; you've had one thing after another to deal with healthwise. Constant pain does take a lot out of you doesn't it?

Enjoy your books. You worked so hard on all your scarves you deserve some enjoyable down time.

Story of my health problems being one after the other is a lot longer than you know about. Story of my life. I've had times of peace over some things. Other things I haven't taken so well, like the fibromyalgia and the latest things. Part of the reason I'm not at church, along with the pain aspect of things.

Well, I'd better get going. Have to go out now. Bye.

My brain is suffering from fibro fog really badly at the moment. Can somebody please remind me how I can find all the posts that I've bookmarked in the past? I've been looking for them for ages and can't find them. Apparently when I click on my own name, I come up in the system as being somebody who doesn't exist. Charming... I want to change my siggy to something that Ray said quite some time ago. I should have cut/copy and pasted it while I had it the last time.

Ok, I've found an area that says 'my bookmarks', but it's completely empty. What's that all about?!

Sorry about that, Ray. Was trying to leave it as much to the original, but it didn't even come close! There was a section that said,"I want to say..." but it doesn't show up on here, so people would understand it all.

((((Trish))))

Here's me wrapping you with a warm, snuggy hug. ++++++Trish++++++

My neighbor had morphine patches during her last year of life. She had breast cancer that traveled to her bones. The patches normalized her life and she was able to function as if nothing was wrong. I sure hope if you get them they will take away all the pain you live with daily.

There's been talks for months now about me going onto the patches. I heard they are addictive physically and physiologically. Not keen on THAT idea, but if I have to, then I have to. I've been referred to chronic pain management, so hopefully I'll be able to get some help. I hear the waiting list is 8 months, so I won't be getting in to see them any time soon.

Thanks for putting the link up, Ray. I have it on my bookmarks, and I finally found where they were. Apparently I didn't look far enough down the page.

I found out today I have 'trigger finger'. Had to have a cotisone injection. I screamed as she was checking my hands, and really didn't do well with the injection. If the injections don't work, the next thing is surgery. Yikes!

Trish, I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time with your hands.

It's too bad we can't order new parts as needed .

True. Right about now I need an entirely new body. Everything hurts from the fibromyalgia.

Typing is a bit interesting at the moment. I'm trying not to use the finger that got injected yesterday. The rheumatologist said that it takes about 3-5 days to kick in. I hope that it lasts a long time. She was saying something about giving me another injection the next time that I see her. She said I could see her before or after Christmas. Wouldn't you know? I had to choose AFTER Christmas!

Remember in one of the Star War movies they regrew Luke Skywalker's arm. Darth Vader had cut it off with his sword. Maybe in our future they will have the knowledge to regrow limbs. Never know.

Sure hope your finger and your whole body feels better soon Trish.

Yep, the pain is slowly going down, thanks, Ginny. I can almost make a fist, which is one of the exercises that the hand OT's gave me to do. I couldn't close the little finger at all, but now it's getting closer to it.

It's great having you here, Ginny. My thread has quietened down considerably.
