I can picture the judges giving breathalyzers to make sure everyone is at least 0.20 before competing.

Ray your answers were hilarious! So tell me, did you eat SOS in the military? And what did you write about?

Shaloha Friday island peeps! Weekend, what's in store for your weekend?

Can you believe I did 6 loads yesterday and have at least three more today? Shees! Need to sort through them to see what we don't need. I could sure use some new jeans to replace the plethora of t-shirts we have.

I wonder if Betty realizes I rented that Dole Whip machine for the entire weekend?

Hi Trishy and the island gang! I think this is the first time I've posted in the new thread.

OK, I'll take the survey. Have you ever...

Climbed a tree? Once or twice as a kid, but never too high. I've never been fond of heights.
Danced in the rain? No.
Ate something really horrible-looking? Institutional food (i.e. school, college) typically is, isn't it?
Watched a meteor shower? I don't remember.
Fallen in front of a ton of people? Undoubtedly.
Been in a play? Yes, but not since elementary school.
Written a really good story? No.
Ate a bug? Only by accident.
Played an instrument in a performance? Yes; I was a percussionist during my school days and performed in the HS marching band.
Skipped school? No.
Cried over someone you didn't even know? Yes.
Gone swimming in your clothes? No.

Dancing in the rain is hard on the dancing shoes.

And yes, I'm still looking for work.

Good evening... So what's for dinner?

ds, I say just put on some tennis shoes and go for it. I promise I won't take a pic.

I had fish for dinner - four and a half hours ago. (It's just after 11:00 PM on the East Coast.)

As for dancing in the rain, I guess I'll have to wait a few days. It's supposed to be sunny and windy tomorrow.

Gee, now if I ever planned a Hawaii GT, that would have to be the way to do it right? I wonder sometime if there will ever be a GT in Hawaii. That would so awesome wouldn't it?

Hi Trishy, I have seen at least one airline announce an airfare sale to Hawaii. I did think about taking them up on the offer.

Yes, and the famous 'mystery meat'. We used to get boxes of beef in that were stamped "Rejected by the Air Force". Then there was some horrible stuff called pork-adobo.

Being on a submarine, nothing was fresh. We had powdered milk. There was flavored juices...affectionately known as 'bug juice'. And all of the drinks were either powdered or concentrated, then diluted with water. The water we processed out of sea water and the quality was often not so good. One time the fresh water system got cross-contaminated with the sanitary water...nothing like finding hair in your fresh drinking water...and then knowing there'd be nothing else to drink for the next several months. (Except for one friend who always smuggled a case of Canadian Club onboard, but that's another story.)

Often the eggs were green before we even left port. One favorite was green eggs and grey ham with a purple sheen. We actually looked forward to canned ravioli...hard to mess that one up.

No, it was black except for the green stuff growing on it.

Shabbat Shalom!

ds, sunny is good. Maybe you can just dance in the sunshine this weekend.

Hiya Mike... Discounts? That's really cool! We would love for you to come down. Of course, you just let me know if ya do ok?

Ray! Now THAT is really gross! Especially the mixing of the two waters. You poor soul. That sounds more dangerous than being in a sub period.

Let's all give one big group hug to Ray for enduring such awful food! (((((((((((((ray))))))))))))))

.....

Not much to report today. I still have a lot to fold from my 8 loads of laundry over two days. And the store hours are different now. 10 am till 9 pm in which I start at 1 pm.

Question of the Day: What are you doing for Easter?

Okie dokie but I am not sold on the idea yet, but would like to visit Hawaii someday. Then there are so many islands too.
