Ethan's worse today. His fever is up and he's thrown up twice already. and he has a headache that just won't quit. and his breathing is beginning to sound labored. A call to the doc's office coming in about a half hour. And now I have a headache too. Blessings, Garsy

garsy, You're aware it could be H1N1, with those symptoms?

Praying he feels better quickly, Garsy. Well, I haven't henna'd yet. It takes 12 hours for the dye to release once I mix it up and I forgot that I am out of rubber gloves. I'll mix it this morning and get some gloves from MIL later today. I haven't colored my hair since um(this is shameful) March and it's in sore need of a color job. You can't color over henna so it's either henna it again(which I love) or let it grow out. Karen, my hair is darker then it used to be as well and I love it so much more. I was looking at old pictures of me where I kept my hair pretty light blonde and it looks so much better when it's a darker blonde or even a darker strawberry which is what results from the henna.

Garsy, I'm so sorry for your poor Ethan. It's so heart-wrenching to have one be so sick. I'm praying for him right now. (And for your headache). I am so blessed to have found this thread. I felt like such a monster yesterday because I realized how much I really, really, really dislike keeping other people's kids. I was thinking all day that there must be something wrong with me! I don't like their screaming and whining; it gets to me in a really bad way. The Uptight Mom has made her daughter a real handful, and she's only 10 mos. old. Monday and yesterday, she spent most of the day crying to be held! Ugh, if I didn't color my hair, people would mistake me for Aaron's grandma . Thanks to my inheritance of the early grays from my dad, I'm going to be fully gray-headed by 40 I think.

ORIGINAL: manda59 garsy, You're aware it could be H1N1, with those symptoms? Much so Manda and it was confirmed by his doctor this morning,(well to an extent anyway) to be the flu which around here is assumed to be the H1N1 now. He's home and quarantined in his bedroom. I've lysoled everything that can be lysoled and washed everything that could be washed. he's on Tamiflu plus the acetaminophen/ibuprofen cocktail and a decongestant for his stuffy nose. We are under strict orders to take him in to the ER if he develops ANY wheezing or breathing issues at all! We've been able to keep the fever down with that, but he has to be 24 to 48 hours fever free without any meds before he's back to school. I talked to the school secretary this morning and she said that 27 kids were confirmed out sick today. That's out of about 450 kids. Ethan will be out at least the remainder of this week. Blessings, Garsy

Garsy, I am so sorry your son is sick. I hope he gets better soon. We are having a wimpy day today. Hannah is a bit down today. Probably because she got her flu vaccine yesterday. Logan wants momma all the time, still more shots. And sadly momma, that would be me, just doesn't feel good. I have a scratchy throat, mild achiness, and just a run down feeling in general. My husband came home and will hopefully be able to work from home a bit but right now he has Logan in the car so I could rest and get a break. I did some housework anyway. It would be nice to blow it off but it was at the point it was bothering me. So I did it. I feel better about that. The chicken fajitas for tonight are pretty much ready and I hope to soak in a hot bath later. My husband is so cool sometimes. Ryanne, my hair is so much darker than it used to be. I used to be blonde but now it has alot of copper in it. I actually really like it. I am just a bit bored with it. Jenn, your reaction is one of the main reasons I want to be a sahm. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same reaction as you. But when they are your own, at least I have found, that I have infinite more patience when they are teething, sick, or whatever. But I can still hear a kid not my own and it gets on my nerves so much faster. I think it is weird but there you are. In fact, I was not even that interested in little kids until I had my own. My patience surprises me all the time with them. Karen

Congrats!! Hubby started a new job well ok was transferred but instead of a 45 minute drive he now has an hour and half drive. This is going to take some getting use to. Thank God he has a job. In that we are definitely blessed.

I just have to figure this thing out - it's affected every avenue of my life right now and I'm positive that is not what God wants from me.

So far so good on everyone else too! hubby took Zoe to dance today and then both girls to Goodwill for final touches on costumes for tonight. Me? Laundry and kitchen clean up. What symptoms do you get with a migraine, Shell (it varies from person to person), and how long have you had it this time?

I hate the rebound headaches I get from taking migraine meds. Those alone have made me pretty much swear off anything but Excedrine Migraine and a cold coke. Garsy, I'm glad you all are doing better(especially Ethan). We are having a quiet day today. I did some shopping this morning, got some awesome deals at Target(gotta love cheap makeup and free candles), now the kidlet is down for a nap and i think I might head that way myself :)

Yes, Garsy, so glad you all are doing better. I didn't have a migraine, but my head hurt bad enough to make me nauseous all day yesterday . Didn't matter what I took for it, it just persisted. I had too much to do to lie down, so I just carried it around with me all day. Ugh! Today, I have one sick daycare baby who had to stay home, one sick daycare baby who's mom thought he should come here instead of staying home, and two well babies who are likely to be sick babies by the end of this week. I hope Aaron doesn't get sick, because when he gets sick, the rest of my boys end up sick and I'd rather not have 6 people in my house sick at the same time makes for a long week that way . Ryanne, I love Target, and my DH finds the most amazing deals there, but I never find them. Although, I do get some really awesome deals on shoes now and then. I bought my last pair of "Fall Sandals" there for $3.48. I love them - for heels they are really comfy.

I get the spots or squiggly lines when it is coming on. Then if I don't catch it sensitivity to light, nauseous and it feels like someone is stabbing a screwdriver in the back of my head and coming out my eye. I had this one for two days before I could return to some sense of feeling normal. I hate the rebound headaches that comes with the medicine.
