Say Anything... Nice

This idea came to me from Philippians 4:8.
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."

The Rules:

You can say anything you want as long as it's nice.
Try to make it fit within the context of Phil. 4:8 if you can.

Some ideas...

* Say anything nice about someone.
* Say anything nice to someone.
* Say anything nice about something.
* Say anything nice about yourself.

You are not allowed to say anything that would be
hurtful, slanderous, shameful, painful, or just plain mean.

You also cannot post more than 2 posts in a row.

Have fun!!!

Thank you MainstayNut, I enjoy your sense of humor too.

I love humor because it calms the spirit and sooths the soul. It is a great gift from God.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength." ~ Prov. 17:22 NLT

This verse is a medical fact. When one thinks positively, which a humorous thought would be, one is physically stronger. The vice versa is also true. When one thinks negatively, one is physically weaker. I once had a chiropractor prove this to me. God's word is true.

Thank you Maggie!!

I too value your friendship here. You have a very sweet spirit about you. Somehow I can just tell. You also have a wonderful sense of humor, as I've seen on the "Bad Advice" thread. I'll bet you keep your husband and kids laughing almost all the time.

When we get to Heaven.... All of us "Nice People" on this forum should get together and do lunch. We'll meet at the "Pearly Gate Cafe & Coffee Shop"...on Tuesday about 11:30am. See ya'll there!!

Well, I'm glad you at least called me a flatterer and not a flirt. Two very different things there.
I tried that "Flirt" thread twice on this forum, but it didn't work out too well for me. I got ignored!!
Can you believe that?? And I wrote so eloquently too. Go figure!
I don't recommend you try it.

I'd love to say something nice about you or to you, but I know almost nothing about you. You won't let me see your profile. However, if Maggie thinks you're a good person, and I trust her ability to perceive the good in people, so I will say you must be a good person. Plus, I do know God loves you with an insatiable desire for a close relationship. I certainly trust Him, so that's good enough for me too.

(((Hugs))) back at ya.

Are you sure you want to be called the Queen Pooh Bah? If you insist, I will call you that ... but it's not a very nice thing to be called!

Well, it is hidden to me. I tried several times and couldn't see it. I usually check out profiles to see what gender and age a person is. Sometimes they don't tell on the profile either. I don't know why that should be a secret, but maybe it is to some people. Not to me. I don't mind if people know that I'm a 44 year old guy. I just won't tell anyone that my real name is Tim. Oops!! I guess I just did.

MainstayNut ... I like Maggie's sheep pic too. Just thought I'd include you in here too. Didn't want you to feel left out.

I know, I know .... 'cause I just looked it up!

From that "very reliable source" Wikipedia ...

quote:

Grand Poobah is a term derived from the name of the haughty character Pooh-Bah in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. In this comic opera, Pooh-Bah holds numerous exalted offices, including Lord Chief Justice, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Master of the Buckhounds, Lord High Auditor, Groom of the Back Stairs, and Lord High Everything Else. The name has come to be used as a mocking title for someone self-important or high-ranking and who either exhibits an inflated self-regard, who acts in several capacities at once, or who has limited authority while taking impressive titles.

Would you like to explain who is in your avatar pic??
Also, is that you holding a white puppy in your profile pic?

Just curious is all.

Thanks for the info Psalms274. How wise of you to check the Wiki.
Now I'm in the "know" category in regards to what a Grand Poobah is... and how to spell it.
I feel so enlightened.
You're the best!!

What??? You don't look like that sheep?? I'm shocked!! LOL!!!

So tell me Maggie... Do you watch the Flintstones on a regular basis? Or is it just that you have a great memory and remember that Water Buffalo thing? I use to watch the Flintstones years ago, but haven't seen it in a long time. Is it even still on TV? I use to like Barney. He was my favorite character on that show.
