Out. I will put chunks of carrot, celery and onion along with seasoning inside the turkey for flavor. The stuffing I make separately.

In - that way you get the juicy stuff from the bird in one part of it, then the crispy stuff from the part that's outside. The best of both worlds!

I prefer my stuffing without the turkey. I've never liked turkey, except in sandwiches...it's tolerable with hot sauce.

In! I like it when all the juices run into it and when you take it out it is piping hot! It tastes sooo good I like it better than the turkey!

I won't touch stuffing cooked inside the bird getting all the drippings and ick on it.  We cook it all on it's own.

Cornbread dressing cooked outside the bird. I do chop up an apple, celery, onion, garlic, and other stuff to cook with but toss it. Those new stuffing bags are great for that.

Until Mrs. K joined the family we had never stuffed the turkey.
My grandmothers, mom, aunts, all made the dressing in pans, and it was/is delicious.
Mrs. K and my late father are the only ones who would actually eat stuffing that was cooked in the bird.
