Good Thur. Morning Everyone

Woke up to 42 degree's this morning. It feels wonderful. Plus my lake does'ent have a thin layer of ice on it anymore

Sometime this afternoon I need to get outside and clean up my van. I made a dish for my nephews wedding dance, and spilled some sauce on the van carpet. I have sprayed it twice now, and used a brush, to clean it up. But it still needs attention..and a good vaccume. On the way home, from that wedding dance, I had a dirt cake that spilled on the way home.
My poor van sure took a beating that day.

The two kids are happy here today. I exchanged the toy box with different toys yesterday. So now they have all different toys today. It's like Christmas for them

Yesterday was my moms birthday. She would have been 69 years old, if she had lived. I brought a silk ivy plant up to the gravesite. Stuck a picture of her, and us five girls, on the plant. It looks real nice. (Her nick-name was Ivy) She was on my mind all day. I still have a message from her on my answering machine. I played it yesterday..just to hear her voice. Sure do miss her. But she is'ent suffering anymore..and she's in a better place. I have a small flower garden, in memory of her, that I need to clean out today. All the flowers froze a few nights ago. But next spring it will be back for me to enjoy. The flowers are around a tree stump. I bought a big angel to stand on the tree stump. It looked so pretty all summer long. And that lovely flower smell, that I enjoyed, everytime I walked in the door, was wonderful. I have never grew flowers that big before. They flowed down into the grass area even. It was so think in there I could'ent even see that old tree stump, or the ground covering the garden. The tree was cut down a week before mom passed away. I planted the flowers that spring, and it just took off. Everyone who came to visit me commented on that flower garden and how pretty it was. I hope I have the same luck next spring. Now I'm wondering if I should take that angel inside for the winter months. I beleive she is made out of fiberglass and other material.

Hi everyone! Stopping in between shopping trips! Today is pay day. Ordered my turkey. (It's $2.79 a pound because it's hormone, anti-biotic, and icky stuff free.) Hubby and I got sick the one year we didn't have a natural or organic turkey. Every time we had turkey it made us feel weird.

Gotta round up the bunch and go shopping. Hopefully I can stop in later.

God Bless!

Oh..I gotta do that. Buy the turkey and all the fixings. Better make out my shopping list for that one. I think I will go on the 23rd. While everyone is away. The guys leave for deer hunting next Friday. I'm going to visit my sister for that week-end, with Pam and Dad. Then my dad has promised to spend Sunday,Monday,Tuesday night with me. I don't want to stay alone overnight. So I will plan on shopping that Sunday.
I have to serve eleven adults and five grandkids. Not to bad.

Have fun shopping, MommaMo!

Somehow I killed my knee yesterday, I couldn't walk without excruciating pain, so instead of shopping for clothes today, I'm spending the day sitting down, for the most part. I thought I might ride my stationary bike, but maybe even that should wait a few days. Sigh.

Maggie,
Ouch for your knee. thanks for the hug tho
So my step-dad just came over. Brought all the flowers and wooden cross from moms gravesite. Seems the headstone (which was'ent expected for 4 weeks yet) was delivered and set-up last night. On moms birthday! How awsome is that? My step-dad had to go up there, with a flashlight, to view it. He said it brought tears to his eyes. So mom got her birthday gift anyways. I can get up there later this afternoon to see it.

I didn't even get to do half of the shopping I wanted to. Just made it to Walmart. I was so tired after dragging around 2 kids. And there was non-stop chatter. I can't shop well like that. I make too many costly mistakes when I'm distracted. Guess tomorrow is yet another day out....

The Christmas trees at Walmart were set up in the greenhouse and the lights were out....so the trees all lit were gorgeous!!!!! It was like being in Christmas tree heaven! Lifted my spirit a bit. I need to dig out some Christmas music and start getting into the mood. I haven't done Christmas cookies the last few years either and we're going to work on that.

Benjamin spent most of his day in the little fence by my mom's door and hung out under the bird feeder with the other birds. Every once in awhile he'd crow and demand attention. When the rain started he hung out by the door because there's an overhang there. When we got home he was already in his tree for the night. (I'm going to have my daughter put him into my avatar.)

Good Morning All!

How is everyone doing this morning? I'm tired! Benjamin got me up early! Came to the house and hollered at me! So I got up and fed him. It's funny though. God, in His glorious plan, knew humans need a loud noise to get them up at a decent time to work. And since there wasn't electricity back then, and no alarm clocks to cuss at, and people have a tendency to sleep in if not jolted.....He gave us roosters! He knew humans and chickens would co-exist forever.....so He gave papa chicken a very loud voice and a crazy need to holler every morning without fail! Now, you tell me....what other animal does that?! Is that clever planning or what?!

Since I didn't finish my shopping yesterday...I need to do it today. I'm so overjoyed(NOT!) that I have to go out for yet another day of the week.

Who's Christmas shopping yet?

Well, must eat breakfast. And possibly catch some more zzzzz's. Unless, of course....my feathered friend decides otherwise.....

Good morning ladies! Yeah, I'm up early again! I've already been out feeding that chicken. He started crowing early a.m. and I ignored him, but, when he got to under the window and let loose I knew I was beaten. I've decided to refer to him as my "alarm cluck".

Today we go get a storage unit. We will clear out as much of the house as possible and then get the mold inspectors in here.

I'm looking forward to a better Christmas this year.

I need to find my Christmas music.

Have a great day all! Blessings to the max!

This morning I made my son tend to the rooster and I stayed in bed. Well, I did open the window and talk to Ben a bit.

Church was great last night. This week is my counseling session with the pastor and his wife. Oh, part way through the service my hubby comes into the sanctuary...of course, my thoughts are gonna be.."Is he here for the service? Is this it? Is this the day?"...but he told me the car didn't work so I went and talked to him in the vestibule. (I sit up front, so the pastor had to have been curious too.) Anyhow, a bunch of the pastors and a church member came to the rescue. (There are advantages to being in a mega church...) I don't think I should go to the little church today because I want hubby to replace the battery first. I don't want to get stranded!!!!!

After church dd1 worked in the cafe. Later the head of the production people took her aside along with the youth pastor and they planned out a mural that's to go on the walls of the school there. She's done a lot of art for the church, but this time they are going to pay her!!!! That's wonderful! She needs a new computer badly and this will help her towards it.

We rented a 10' x 15' storage unit yesterday. The lady gave it to us for the price of the next smallest unit. (We figured out that she's a Christian.) We will probably start loading it today. We just need a lock.

I had a talk with hubby yesterday and had him promise not to bring up the divorce again until after New Year's day. Last year was horrific for me and I dubbed it the Christmas that never was. I was sad and miserable and didn't enjoy anything but the Christmas play at the big church. I am determined to get my Christmas back this year. And I'm going to enjoy it!

Well, I haven't had breakfast, so I should go do that. Have a blessed day!!!!

Wow! A packed-full day! Your hubby was brave, coming right up to the front to find you in the middle of the service.

He probably enjoyed confusing the pastor! Actually, he likes the pastors there. He likes the pastor at the Baptist church....and they've even hung out as friends! (Weird behaviour for an atheist ay?) I don't believe he's a real atheist....I believe he's a rebelling Christian. (I've had an ex atheist say the same thing!)

I have an appointment with my pulminary doc today. I'm going to try to get the first load into the storage unit. I need to visit the lady at my old store, and go to Costco for milk, eggs and pies for Thanksgiving. This morning I need to go to Kent to pick up my turkey. Busy day....somehow I need to sneak school into there too.

Have a great day! Blessings!

a busy, busy day for you!

I'm going to my mom's place this afternoon to raid her phone book and add to my mailing list. My ds3 is also taking me to a haute couture factory outlet (the factory is here in the city) where they sell bolt ends super, super cheap.
