for me it would have to be to chill with god of course ! but i would like to go fishing with my grandpa again just like old times , work on cars with my dad . Serve god of course! go swimming with sharks . will we be able to do all these things ? or dose god have some sort of duty / job for us to do when we get up there?

Zack, specifics I can not give on what it will be like other than it will be heaven. All the great things about earth and none of the bad stuff. No more pain, sorrow, tears, or fear. Just joy, abundant joy, and peace.

But we will be with Jesus. We will serve Him, and spend eternity in His presence. We will reunite with lost loved ones who went to be with Him already, and sit down at His table with our heroes from the bible. What could be better?

"How lovely is
Your dwelling place
Oh Lord Almighty,
For my soul doth long
And even faint
For You
Oh, here my heart
Is satisfied (is satisfied)
Within Your presence
I see beneath
The shadow of
Your wings

Better is one day in Your courts
Better is one day in Your house
Better is one day in Your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
Better is one day in Your courts
Better is one day in Your house
Better is one day in Your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
(Than thousands elsewhere)

One thing I ask,
And I would seek,
To see Your beauty
To find You in
The place Your glory dwells"(better is one day-Kutless)

What meaning does peace have without strife? Joy without sorrow? Happiness without tears?

Anything, no matter how wonderful, loses it's value quickly when it become abundant and free and requires no effort to attain.

I have a picture in my mind of walking with Jesus in a beautiful landscape full of hills, mountains, rivers, that he created.

Honestly, today, I just want to ask God why I have to endure some of the emotional pain that I'm having today, and what His big idea was of letting people come into my life to cause it. After that, I just want to sit alone for all eternity.

There will be no time, we will be in eternity, so it will be different. In Revelation where the hosts of heaven are forever worshipping God, they don't appear to have lost the value of that.

Torchheart,

I am so sorry that you are enduring such huge pain. Please find someone -- pastor, Christian, close friend -- that you can talk to about this and who can help you make sense of it all, and can minister Christ's healing to you.

I know I've had enough experience with strife, sorrow, and tears this side of heaven to appreciate peace, joy and happiness in heaven. I look forward to having a mind and body free from the pull of sin. What a joy it will be to shed sin and all it's trappings and temptations in totality.

The gift of salvation is free and wonderful and available to all...and it will never lose its value.

I don't think I'll be bored in heaven. I think I'll enjoy praising Jesus and God and that I will be happy in whatever they'd have me do. They have always known what's best for me.
