ORIGINAL: StephK I read in the NYT yesterday that one reason for the premeditated charge is that he shot each man at least 4 times and that he had to reload after each shot. Also after he shot his father he yelled for the roommate to come in and then proceeded to shoot him as he walked in the door from outside. Prosecutors Say Boy Methodically Shot His Father Doesn't sound like the "great relationship" neighbors describe.

The Kid should get 4 years probation and if probation is revoked, 10 years in Juvi with 1.5 years credit earned for good-time. (Zona is a determinate sentencing state with good-time credits at 85%). Now I have want far more liberal good-time credits rule in the state but that is waste of my time to deal with that issue. Npte. Lescrivens will be always be the Moonbat in the forum. It was pre-medidated and he shot them twice so they would not suffer. However it is now questioned whether his confession will be allowed in court. The problem is that the boy may not have been told his Juvenile Miranda rights but police say that first they thought they were questioning a witness and not a suspect. After 45 minutes the boy broke and told the truth and some are crying foul: Video LINK

I wouldn't think his confession would matter all that much towards a conviction. They should be able to show whether or not he did it based on the forensic evidence - fingerprints, gunshot residue, rifling patterns - maybe even bullet trajectory since he's so small. Unless he had the foresight to account for all of those things, in which case, they've got an 8yo sociopath. -Dan.
