Jess77,
Knowing you're a Hoppers fan, I won't suggest any of their music because I will assume you have their current stuff. But I will stay in the mixed group area for music and suggest something by the Collingsworth Family ("The Blood Of Jesus" is really good). If you don't have any Freemans music "Children Of The Dust" would be a good selection with what is available on iTunes. You may also want to check out Mike & Kelly Bowling. "Your Cries Have Awoken The Master" is one of the best songs of 2008.

What We Needed - Kingdom Heirs

I was going to recommend the live version of the song, but then I realized that NQC 2008 wasn't out yet.

I agree. The CD version is good, but the live version is soooo much better. If it don't make it on to NQC 2008 then Crossroads has badly missed the boat.

Yes, and they just have to include the encore with Billy Hodges' high ending! I never got to see the Kingsmen in their Big and Live days, but after hearing that, I think I know what it must have felt like to be there!

My thoughts exactly. They'd probably include both encores. Crossroads is managed by a guy who knows how to run a record company; I doubt he'd leave that off.
I also think they should include The Dixie Echoes' Thursday(?) night performance of "Not In A Million Years" when Michael Booth played on the drums and they encored it. That was cool!

I just saw on Springside Marketing that NQC 2008 is available for pre-release ordering. Apparently What We Needed made the cut, but Not In a Million Years didn't. Hopefully they include the encores of What We Needed since they are what make the live version of that song so great. Here's a complete list of the songs that are advertised as being on there as of now:

That's What I'm Talking About / Gold City
Winds Of This World / Talley Trio
You Would Think He Would Learn / Dove Brothers
I've Been Changed / Legacy Five
Hey / Karen Peck & New River
Statue Of Liberty / Ivan Parker
It Means Just What It Says / Greater Vision
He Never Sleeps / Mark Bishop
The One That I Love / Booth Brothers
I Rest My Case / Perrys
Ready To Leave / Hoppers
God Rides On Wings Of Love / Janet Paschal
What We Needed / Kingdom Heirs
Miracle In Me / Phil Cross & The Greenes
When God Ran / Kingsmen
Pray Daniel Pray / Brian Free & Assurance
