Crockpot Scalloped Corn

Egg product is used in this recipe instead of real eggs because they can stand up to long, slow cooking better.

INGREDIENTS:
1-1/3 cups flour
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups cholesterol-free egg product
1-1/2 cup evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cans cream-style corn
2 cans corn, drained

PREPARATION:
Spray inside of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients. Cover slow cooker and cook on high for 2-3 hours until set. Serves 25 (½ cup servings).

A double recipe fills a 6-quart slow cooker.

Carb count: 13.75g per 1/2 cup

Ooooh, that ^^ recipe is like one I have for Corn Pudding. Hmmm...maybe I'll have that this year! I've never done it in the crock pot though...what a great idea!

Ket can I just come over to your place for dinner? lol

Ray that sounds good! Hmm. I don't have a crock pot either....yet. Ha

So I think I will have to wait till Thursday to go fetch me a turkey at Whole Foods. Kat, do they sell it frozen? I am sure they do but just wondering. I should just check online huh. lol

I'm just wondering...anybody ever made something with pomegranates (besides just putting in a salad). I would love to use pommes in a Thanksgiving recipe!

Last year, when I called my Whole Foods to order my turkey a little late in the game, they just said to come over and pick one up...there were many left to choose from and they were fresh not frozen. I would just give them a call.

I'm not "Ket" but if you were speaking to me, of course you can come over for Thanksgiving Dinner, Above-All!! The plane fare is a killer though. That's why my sister, who lives where you do, isn't coming this year.

This recipe sounds good.

But what is this (see quote above)? I never use anything but the real thing so can someone clue me in?
