I can't wait either. My cards are sitting there waiting to be written on and sent. Come on people, get your names and details in to me so we can make this a hum dinger of a card exchange!

Thanks Darcy. Sorry. I didn't realise I'd asked you twice. Am glad you're going to participate though.

The list is growing! I love the card exchange. I hang my Christmas cards up and they stay up way after Christmas.

We have 2 birthdays in January in our household, so we can have them up until the middle of January if we want to before they get replaced by birthday cards. Ok, in the next few days I'll be working on the list to ask you if it's ok if others have your details. Once everybody gets back to me, I'll be sending out the list so you can start doing your cards. Remember, just because a person's name is on your list, you don't HAVE to send a card to them, but it would be nice. I know that a couple of people are wanting just ecards instead of snail mail cards. Ecards are perfectly alright if you can't financially afford snail mail cards, or if you just prefer to send those instead of snail mail cards. Not long before the fun begins.

Please remember: I want one of these two responses: It is OK for everyone on the list to have my information. OR... Do NOT send my mailing address to: a. b. c. Do NOT send my email address to: a. b. c. Instead of PMing the list, I will be emailing them to you. Could you please email your response back to me? Thanks. That would be much appreciated. Please use the same title as when you emailed me your details. 2008 Community Christmas Card Exchange. By November 19, those who want to send cards will receive an EMAIL from me with the names, addresses, and/or email addresses of everyone who said you may have their info.

Catherine, want to join again so you can have some more to add to your existing cards?

Ok everybody. I've sent out the list of handles for this year. If any of your didn't receive it, please tell me and I'll get it sorted out. A couple of you have responded already. Fast work! Thanks for replying really quickly.

I know I'm a little late for this year, but for next, can you live overseas to participate, or is it for US only?

No, it's not just a US only Christmas card exchange. For example, I'm in Australia. It's not too late for this year. If you'd like to join, please follow the instructions on the opening post which will tell you what details you need to email to me so that I can include you.

nevaehsgaze, in other years it's been possible to straggle in late and still participate. Cherish is doing it this year, but she might let you join in late. And her/his question reminds me. Everyone, remember that you will need more postage for cards going out of the US.

Thanks Maggie. That's something that I forgot to bring up. Yes, sending cards to overseas countries will cost you extra. I'm not sure how much extra though. I guess it all depends on where you live. And nevaehsgaze, I am letting you in this year.

Yeah, I had the brilliant idea of sending some beach sand in mine one year. Then the whole anthrax thing happened. Killed that idea real fast!
