How about "Mum"? Then folks won't know whether you're a mom or a flower.

People might also think we're a Brit.

Brittney Spaniels?

I knew what you meant. Really.

We were talking about this at scouts because I dislike being called MOMMY/Mummy and DeeDee called me that and I flat-out corrected her (since when am I your mummy, do I look like I'm wrapped in toilet paper) and of course the mothers that know better corrected me becuase it is nice that she still looks up to me, remembers when I took care of her, blah-blah-blah.

I got over it. DeeDee had already left the area. But it was funny.

I'm supposed to feel needed because of a nickname. But I explained that I am a MOM or a MOMMA and I would rather they respect my wishes. Cranky I get after 11pm...

My kids call me Mom. That's what I wanted. That's what I got. I'm "Mumzee" to my on-line brood. Although the "Momma-mo" thing has caught on with some. I have my on-line girls that I've "adopted". They are friends of dd1. They're great kids! Good Christians.

My Mom got Mo from my sisters friends.

BigBee calls me Mum-zey. I had to think about who was doing it and it is my own kid. Yikes.

I am also known as Mrs BigBee's Mom. With the MRS intact. I tell them they should give Poppa credit for putting up with me for 18 years.

I'm tryin' real hard to be good for Santa, so I'm leavin' this one alone. Next time I might not be feelin' so compassionate.

I've called my mother "Ma" most of my adult life (yes, a short time Mbee ) and "Mommy" when I was a kid.

ETA: Mum-zey????? Oh brudda!

I lost track of what this conversation was about.

I started a Christmas Card exchange in the women only folder, if any women are interested.

I don't know why people aren't getting their copies of the list. Again, if you haven't got it, let me know and I'll send it again. I'll even PM you with it to make sure you have it.

I've sent an email out to everybody telling you all of the change in Marsha's email addy. Again, if you don't get that, let me know and I'll send it to you.

We don't have mama or momma over here. It's mum.

So, if we were doing the mother thing, I'd either be mum_cherish or cherish_mum. I'm not a mother though, so I don't think I'll be using any of those. I can't have kids.

No santas this year, Bill? Oh well, we'll survive. I think.

Catherine, I was the first one to sign up on the women's Christmas card thread.

Ditto! I bought cute nutcracker stamps, and ordered my regular cards for those I see daily.

For everyone else I still need to order my photocards. Still need more pics with the Things.

I didn't get the email addy change email even thought my email addy didn't change.

Cards? I may think about addressing cards at basketball practice, so if you see any dribbles it wasn't from my coffee cup...

I'd be Dumb-mama because I gave trish the wrong e-mail address.
I did that with my publisher the first time I sent them my address. We were both wondering why I hadn't received the contract.

In Canada, we say "Mum" but spell it "Mom." The first time I heard an American say "Mom," it really threw me. I don't think I'd like being called "Ma."

Tinkerbell, I like what you call your kids. It's so cute.

I correct myself...my kids call me mom and mama. I wouldn't want to be "ma" or "maw" either.

I need to buy Christmas stamps.......

I've got some ecards to do, but other than that, I just need stamps. Crosswalk ones are done, now I just need to do family ones, some for some of my penpals and a couple of others. Then all my Christmas card writing is over for this year.

I need to think about what I'm doing for Christmas cards.

I want to be mommy. My step-kids call their mom Mama, so I wouldn't be surprised if mine does the same thing.

My kids only call me "mommy" when they want something . Otherwise, it's "mom". Sometimes they slip up and call me "grandma" which makes me do this and then they just laugh and laugh.
