Just turned on the tv and GMA is on, it should be GMO (good morning obama) since they are unabashedly in his pocket and hearing Newt Gingrich call them on it was great. Anyway to be on topic it was amazing to see how much they hate Joe the plumber, a guy trying to make a living.

Joe the plumber, Ben the printer, Sam the electrician...

We're all the same. We live for the dream that living in America gives us, to prosper and advance. What motivation is there to push toward that goal when you're told a huge hunk of that success will be taken away to be "spread around"?

Joe The Plumber asked a question that caused Obama's mask to drop, just for a second, and reveal exactly what he is all about. The McCain campaign should make this one of their points for the next two and a half weeks, because this will change some minds....

Juan would do well to remember and use some words of his alleged hero, Ronald Reagan in this discussion on Joe the plumber.
From his inaugural address in Jan 1981 -
"Now, so there will be no misunderstanding, it is not my intention
to do away with government. It is, rather, to make it work - work with us, not over us;
to stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide
opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it."

It doesn't matter if he has been a licensed Union Plumber for 30 years or he sells hotdogs.
He exposed Obama's scheme and the salient point remains.

Thousands of people are now re-thinking the idea of starting a business and wondering what's the use if they will get penalized for starting one and creating more jobs,

... might as well sit around in a lower tax bracket and let Obama give you the rich peoples money at least until there are no more rich people. This will be disasterous if he succeeds. Why some can't see this or don't want to is beyond me.

Joe the plumber throws a wrench into tax debate

And as the article says, that wrench is the fact that Obama isn't saying what it is that constitutes a very small, small, medium and large company. Why not?

I think McCain should have went on further and called it socialism. It is worse than Robin Hood who stole from the rich and gave to the poor because under Barack, it would be a government-mandated wealth redistribution. I guess if you promise the peasants money they will vote for you as king.

Robin Hood stole from the corrupt government and gave it back to the people.
He didn't rob the "rich."

Obama will rob the "rich" and give to the ones who don't work.
The Liberal defines rich as having a job. The one's they can rob from.

So, if you earn money and pay taxes, you are the target.
I may be exporting myself with the jobs that will be leaving. lol.

Compare that to the mansions the politicians live in.

More I get to know Mr Joe more I like him. He is the average guy and do not know why people are picking on him..makes no sense...any one having the opportunity to asking the right question at the right time, would be in the "spot".

What's happening people becoming sooo suspicious?

There's a few other things about this as well (in the article).

Seems McCain didn't vet his "spokesman" (again!).

Thanks TaoPoohBear for he extra info...lol..

There is no Mrs Wurzelbachers, he is a single dad, he is raising his son. That is awesome!

Can't help but wonder how many people actually seen this (we did); all three of our local Tv news stations took his words out of context and made a case that he was voting for Obama.

'Ya think Obama was sipping that same brand of Champagne/fancy wine when he uttered those "bitter-gate" comments (in San Francisco)?

If Obama works really hard maybe he can pick up seven more homes just like McCain.

McCain isn't going around telling Joe the Plumber that he's going to spread the wealth. I say let 0bama share his wealth first before he forces others to do so.

I think he is well aware of where McCain was at his age.

McCain wasn't in prison at age 47.

I just read that Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the plumber, will be interviewed by Mike Huckabee tomorrow night (Saturday 10/18) on Fox. I have not seen Huckabee as an interviewer yet, I suspect he does a good job given his communication skills.

now what is Joe the Plumber going to do now? I did not even hear a mention about him in mccain's concession speech.

its weird turning on the news and we probably wont be hearing anything about these mascots the candidates made famous in their campaigning.
