Father God,
Our Sovereign Leader. Please wake people up. We are stuck on the economy. It is a smokescreen.
What about unforn babies?????????
I have not heard this discussed for a month.
Good grief.
Anyone who is in favor of partial birth abortion and NO intervention if the baby lives, is reprehensible.
What are we thinking???????????????????
Lord in heaven, HELP. Wake up our conscience as a nation.
No one can "fix' our economy. We must live within our means. We must give things up. And we CAN do it.
Now the gas companies are complaining because this great nation buckled down and quit guzzling gas, and I am proud of us. Truly proud.
But gas companies are mad because we are not using up enough gas....
Give me strength, Lord!!!!!!!
PLEASE pray and try very hard to vote in agreement with our God's heart.

O Lord,
Please give wisdom and insight to those who haven't already figured out where their votes should be cast. And those who think it's ok to vote for people who support things you hate, please grant them clarity.
I ask that Your ALMIGHTY, ALLPOWERFUL hand will direct Your children to act, and vote in this election against the harm-doers. God, I pray to You in Jesus' name, that obama will not be elected.

Father, I pray for a spirit of wisdom on the voters, to reach behind the rhetoric and see the real issues and candidates for where they are and where they are versus Your desire and will for us. Guide us and lead us holy father.

Lord, look down upon this nation. Please remind all of us of the issues that actually can be changed... and the ones that are just a sham that these politicians give nothing but lipservice to. Remind all of us that there is more at stake that just one issue, and show those of us who are blinded by lies, empty promises, and propaganda to some of the facts that both candidates have blood upon their hands of your children.
With that in mind, help us to elect the person who is BEST FIT to lead this nation and solve the majority of its problems. Remind them that BOTH John McCain and Barack Obama are Christian men, and let us pray that you will be in the heart of whichever one of them gets elected to help do ALL things that are necessary. Help them to end the senseless war in Iraq properly and to bring our sons and daughters home safely. Help them to bring the man responsible for the events of September 11th to justice. Help them to straighten out our economy and to help keep jobs in our country. Help them to bring about new research to cure diseases and provide funding for the sick. Help them to straighten out our health care mess. Help them to be makers of PEACE, rather than mongers of war as both men have shown the potential to do this. If it is your will, let them actually bring an end to abortion, rather than just pay it lip service as we've seen in the past. Let them see the light and end capital punishment. Let them work end bigotry based on race, gender, sexual preference, religion, and even ability or disability. Let ALL your will be done through whichever candidate is elected.
But most importantly, God, let this country finally be UNIFIED by whoever is elected. Let them work to bridge the gaps between Democrats and Republicans, between liberals and conservatives, so that the pointless bickering and feuding that has hampered our country's leadership from making qualified decisions can finally end, and progress can be made in healing this great nation from the harm of division. And through this, let the people of this country also begin to heal and to accept differences and work on unity, rather than display hatered and contempt, regardless of whoever gets elected. I pray this will all of my heart in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Beloved Savior.

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Do you know what Napoleon said about China? “There lies a sleeping giant, and let him sleep, because if he awakens, he will shake the world.” I believe the devil says that about the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I believe the church is just that, a sleeping giant. We’re asleep because we have been chloroformed by the spirit of this age. We’re bombarded on every side by all kinds of amusement. Do you know what amuse means? It’s a combination of two words. Muse means to think, and the alpha prefix in front of it means not to. We are a generation that is amusing ourselves into oblivion. And it’s time to wake up!
Lord, wake us up - let us not be amused by what will give us things but rather let us seek Your face. Lord, it is not about what we call ourselves - Christian or non-Christian, Republician or Democrat, it is about what Your Word says.
Help us to see that many 'issues' are not important, many are only for our self gratification but that some at clear good vs evil. We must follow Your word rather than our denomination, our politicial party, our gender, our race or any other abstract that would take away from what You tell us is right, just and holy. Father,
Help us to get on our knees and acknowledge our sinfulness.
Help us ask for forgiveness and have a willingness to turn from our evil ways.
And then, Father, we need Your help to turn the hearts and minds of voters so that they will do Your will.
I believe there can be a supernatural (God-natural) election result that is within Your perfect will no matter what polls say.
The only thing that can save this election is Praying, Cleansed, Forgiven Christians on their knees petitioning you day and night.
Satan is walking about roaring like a lion getting ready to devour us.
Protect us, Father. Surround us with angels to stand guard over our prayers as we send them up to Heaven to You.
Lord, please hear and answer our prayers to save America.

Father,
The only thing that ultimately matters is that Your will be done.
If America and her leaders are in Your will, then all other things will follow.
We seek to be unified with you, Lord. We seek Your will which is always perfect.
There is a spirit of disunity and chaos in America. I know that You do not bring chaos and confusion. That is from Satan.
There is a spirit of anger and rage surrounding this election. I know that these things do not come from you, Lord.
I am sometimes frightened by the anger and rage that I see. Calm my heart and protect all of us who are called by Your name.
Help us to be children You can be pleased with. Let us follow You in everything we do and give you all of the glory.
Forgive ME, Lord, for all of the things I do that are not in Your will.
Forgive me for so often trying to manage my own life.
Forgive me for all of the times when I have not put You first, have not asked You first, have not sought You first.

Two things seem certain to me.
We MUST vote. That is our Christian duty and our American privilege.
We MUST vote for the person who most certainly reflects Your will and the morals taught in Your Word.
Lord, we seek Your face and Your will in all things, and most certainly we seek You in picking America's leaders.
Let every voter feel a conviction today to vote for Your choice.
Remove anger and rage from this election.
Remove delusion and deception from this election.
Remove partisanship from this election.
Remove everything from the minds and hearts of voters that would get in the way of YOUR choice.
Please forgive us our sins, and help us turn from our wicked ways (YOU know what they are), and heal our land.

I pray for America, too. We've obviously been blessed and even though I see moral decay, everyone wants to come here. I pray that we can continue to be a blessing to many. No matter who the "ins" are, I, too, will pray for their salvation and/or faithfulness, as the case may be.
However, God raises up and brings down leaders. If He raises up a government to discipline us, I pray that that will spur revival and refinement of the church.
