Do any of you remember the commercial of the teenage boy pulling up to the pumps and an attendant washing his windshield and the boy says " 50 cents of good Gulf, please" I always loved that commercial, hubby and I were almost that bad, we'd get $2 worth of gas and drive to the movies about 20 miles away. Didn't have to get more gas for a day or so, either.
I remember it being 19 cents a gallon.

i remember paying $0.23 per gallon at the station in town and i CHARGED it to our account.......not a credit card, but an account where they sent my dad a bill at the end of the month. life was pretty good for me as a high school junior.....

I remeber paying .89 cents a gallon in 1988 in my hometown. That was the year I graduated and it was a penny more than the year. Right now around here today it was $1.63

.75 - on Dec 10th 2000 - I remember because I was in an accident while pulling out of the gas station. I filled my tank on $10 that day!

I remember my parents talking about how gas prices went over a dollar one Sunday morning as we were driving to church - that's probably the lowest I remember. I don't know how old I was at the time.

.17 cents a gallon in 1970 in a "gas war" in Flint, Michigan. We would not think of going down the next block and paying .19 cents a gallon!!!
