gennaoanothen: Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. Just for the record, the above passage has nothing to do with the situation seen in the OP video. The disciples/apostles? Grown men. The subsequent teachers and leaders appointed by them? Grown men. The standards for leaders only describe grown men who are able to meet specific qualifications, such as managing their households, being able to teach and lead younger men, having one wife, being beyond reproach, having good reputations with unbelievers, knowing the scriptures inside and out, and not being a new convert. See 1 Tim 3:1-7, 1 Tim 3:8, Titus 1:5-6, 2 Tim 2:2, 1 Pet 5:1-3, Heb 13:17 for details. Children, on the other hand, are to be kept under control, well-managed, and under authority of their parents. The child mimicking or playing at being pastor is kind of beside the point. It's the adult audience that was clapping, propping him up, and taking him seriously that was really, really disturbing. That's what most seem to be commenting on here.

ORIGINAL: FurGodWurLivin Shall I mention that Jesus said we need to be childlike? Come on, people... this is a KID. A Toddler got on stage and started doing what he sees Daddy doing. In most places, that's considered "cute" and "innocent". But for some inexplicable reason we feel a need to degrade this as a WoF-type mockery? I find it cute and hilarious, personally... and I have a sneaking suspicion that God did too. "Let the little children come unto me and do not forbid them"-- Jesus. Adam is the reason really inexplicable? Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. RED lettered words, what did Jesus mean, here? I was commenting to furGodwurliving, and I asked 2 questions, no one cared to respond, so it doesn't matter. I am well aware of the conduct of elders etc etc, and I am well aware of the conduct of many whom God choose to use to do His Will, the before and after.

I took Soxfan as doing a tongue-in-cheek satire. I did post some links to actual false-teachers and how they started at a baby's age. "Not a novice" means what it says. Was that baby performing or preaching. That's debatable. In Marjoe's case, he was preaching. And it led to his destruction and the deception of thousands. Again, what was tongue-in-cheek pushed the theology buttons of us all. LOL.

Come on people. I watched that video months ago. It's a child putting on a show. It a group of people cheering the child on to keep him going. Yes the child is imitating someone or something he has seen. But there is no indication whatsoever that the people believe it is of or from God. The audio on that particular link does not match the audio on the one I saw months ago. It appears to have been doctored to help someone back up a point they want to make. The sound has been dubbed. Listen to it again only closely this time. The part of the audio where people are supposedly praising Jesus was obviously dubbed. Those people were much closer to a mic audience present at the "show". Also that part is not on the video I watched. Don't fall prey to something someone else has altered just to make it back-up what they say.

Gotta admit, he makes about as much sense as most of the other WoF "superstars"! Genna said that the woman who posted the vid is a friend of the boy and isn't WOF, actually ani-WOF, but Baptist. That's a very valid point and is contrary to the op. You chose to ignore that, because it didn't fit your agenda. If people are exalting the boy, it's wrong, regardless of denomination. If you guys say that he's WOF and he isn't and you won't admit that you were wrong, then I've gotta admit, I'm a little disappointed Earthless.

My entire take on all of this is that it is wrong to pimp kids like that in the name of any religion. Maybe that's just me, but I am not one for having kids do something they have no clue about. Secondly, my problem is with adults attributing this as a genuine move of the Holy Spirit. As for an agenda? We all have our biases. We all have our agendas. I don't mask what mine is.

Are there people that argue that? lol My take is that it's wrong to string kittens up from their tails and hang them on a tree. I thought you were better then the non sequitor? Almost all of us agree that WOF doctrine is dangerous, but to attribute something to WOF when it turns out it wasn't and to not admit that you were wrong, is wrong as well. Integrity always. Selective integrity never.
