Hey -- if you (or someone you love [:)]) is a songwriter, check out SONGVILLE.
Here's the official description:
Songwriting is a wonderful job/hobby/vocation/calling/habit/addiction, but sometimes its hard. SONGVILLE is a SONGWRITING BLOG you can visit for tips on craft, bits of inspiration, and insight into the music business. Stop by when you need a little creative boost (or just a good excuse to procrastinate.) Stay awhile.
Right now, to get things going, we're asking folks to share their ALL TIME FAVOURITE LYRIC. Whether you're a songwriter or not, we'd love to know what lines you love above all others. ICYAW, I'm a recording artist/author who's been wanting to put a site like this together for a long time. I love talking about songwriting (sometimes it's much more fun to discuss than to actually do it!). In the past few years, in addition to my regular touring and recording, I've taught songwriting at a local college, which has given me the occasion to articulate and formalize stuff I've discovered intuitively through 20 or so years of writing. SONGVILLE gives me a chance to share some of what I've learned so far and to learn from other writers as well.
