I only tie full windsor knots. I still do not know what to vote in the poll.

OK I voted.

What was the style called where there was no visible knot, the last time out that usually goes behind the loop stays out instead? (it was semi popular in the 70s and early 80s)

No - an ascot uses a different shape of cloth. But the knot is similar to that.

Double Windsor is what they taught us in boot camp, and the only one I know.
