We're doing the chicken. It's almost done. It's beginning to smell really good!

Please pray for me, because I may be approaching the owner of that store tomorrow to find out what her accountant has said. I am, of course, nervous about it. I have waited 19 years to get this store back. It's kind of like unresolved business to me.

I will pray about the biopsy also. Hope everyone is having a good evening.

Thanks for the prayers Leah and Momma-mo. The doctor still hasn't called me back, although I'm not really surprised about that. The tech just shared what the doctor who looked at the films said, even though she said she wasn't supposed to. I was glad to know what was up.

Praying about your store Momma-mo.

Leah, Huntington chicken is just shell pasta, chicken, and a cheese sauce made from the broth. We used cream cheese; I'm not sure what most recipes call for. Ours called for cream cheese or cheese whiz. It has bread crumbs on top.

Good Thursday morning, everyone . . . it's a chilly 44 degrees here in the Ozarks and only supposed to get to 65 today. I'm off to the gym in a few minutes -- guess it won't be long until I need my jacket on for that.

Dee, that does sound yummy. Guess I'll have to save that for company or something tho, cuz Bill doesn't like cream/cheese sauces. Did you hear anything yet from your doctor?

I took Garrett to church with me last night . . we had a pizza before church, and I really expected him to eat good cuz he loves pizza, but there was too much action for him, or he was simply too full from lunch still, tho I noticed he didn't have too much trouble putting away several bites of cake & ice cream . . . Anyway, I decided to keep him downstairs during the worship part of the service since he is the only baby to go to the nursery, and I didn't think that was necessary. He got a little antsy -- guess I need to plan better next time and take him some cars to play with, but we made it thru. After the worship, he went upstairs with the song leader who sang songs & played games with him & the older kids who were there . . I could hear him squealing all the way downstairs

I guess today it's back to school with him. I think he missed that a bit yesterday, but it gave him a chance to catch up on his naps a bit. He slept nearly 3 hours yesterday afternoon.

Good Morning Everyone

Momma-mo,
Praying for good news with the store today

Dee,
You are also in my prayers for the possible biopsy. Hope all goes well.

Leah,
Sounds like Garrett had a good day with you yesterday.
It's only 45 degrees here in Wisconsin. Brrr
Suppose to drop into the 30's Friday night. I might have to cover some flowers. The tree's are starting to change big time around here. I must admit I like fall also. Spring is my favorite tho.

My husband went out to the wood pile last night. Had to bring some wood in the house for this morning. Poor guy got stung by a nasty bee that was sitting on a piece of wood. I was talking to my grandson, on the phone, last night. I told him grandpa got stung by a bee. He said I should put a band-aid on it, and kiss it good-bye. Funny little guy

I was suppose to babysit the grandsons yesterday afternoon. Sarah never called me, and she never showed up. When I called Tommy last night I asked him where the boys went. He said by her girlfriends. I sort of told Tommy about me and Sarah's talk, and how I felt everything was settled. Also shared with him that I thought it was rude for Sarah not to phone me about her change in plans. I don't care if her girlfriend watches the boys...just let me know about it so, I'm not waiting for them. As it was yesterday I had an errand to run, and had to hurry home before the boys got here...just to get home, and them never comeing

My supper did'ent turn out so great last night. I had the pork steaks, that were not tender. And my brownies did'ent cook well in the middle. The edges were brown and crisp, and the middle was raw yet. That always happern with a pan of brownies. I could'ent put them back in the oven because I already frosted them. Oh well..Cody ate them.

Barb, that happens with my brownies a lot, too. I blame it on the oven, but probably it is just too thick brownies. I like them thick, tho, so guess I'll just turn the oven down another notch and try again. And these are getting eaten in spite of too-crisp sides.

Yes, that is rude of Sarah, but it seems she's learned how to push your buttons and is going to continue doing it. Maybe you should try ignoring it, but then just not being there the next time she asks you to be. If she has to look for you or make other arrangements occasionally, she might learn a little respect for your time.

I'm being lazy, but guess I really ought to get up & get moving.

Thanks Barb. I haven't heard anything yet. I agree, I think Sarah is trying to push buttons.

Leah, Garrett has so much fun with you!

Hi Maggie! How is your week going?

I need to get something out for supper.

You know, Dee, I'd like to take credit for that, but honestly, I think Garrett could have lots of fun just about anywhere he is --- he's a fun-loving, easy-to-please, easily-entertained kinda kid, and so delightful to watch! He actually provides lots of fun for those around him. I know I know . . . as Maggie says, I'm completely smitten by him

I asked Bill if he wanted meatloaf for tonight, and he let me know that he thought Tuesday's supper of cubed steaks with brown gravy was the best meal he'd had in a long time, so I suggested making hamburger steaks with the meat instead of meatloaf, and he went for that. Guess that's what I'll be having tonight.

I think the week is getting better, Dee, which is a good thing because I couldn't handle worse. I absolutely need to pack up the closet in ds3's room so he can start filling it with his own things and thus get the piles of boxes in the dining room disposed of. I'm going to have a nap and then tackle that job. It's the top thing on my agenda for today, aside from time in my prayer room. Oh, and my book cover designer plans to call me sometime today. I hope he waits until I get up from my nap.

Leah,
You may be right..that girl KNOWS how to push them buttons. I am just gonna ignore for now..
BTW, meatloaf sounds yummy.

Dee,
When do you hear from the doctor?

{{Maggie}}
you need a hug

Well I got the rug shampooed in my liveingroom. Wow was that dirty! I did'ent relize how much till I seen all that dirt comeing through the machine. YUK
Dad has a shampooer that he shares with me and Pam. Well it was'ent working at all. So I called dad yesterday and told him it was shot. He said "lets go buy a new one" So that's where I went yesterday. This new machine works so much better than the older one
Now I have to keep the little ones off of it when they wake up. Mabey we can go outside for play-time. It's 60 degree's out there. Plenty warm for play. And they all have little fall jackets with them.

I get to go with Katie again tonight. She wants to visit one more bridal shop before she decides on a dress. So it will be just me and her. I'm so excited to go looking again. Gonna take my camera along this time tho. Some bridal shops let you take pictures..and some don't. We will see.

Yeah, well I guess the meatloaf will wait until next week. Hubby wants hamburger steak -- it's easier anyway. Have a good time shopping, Barb!

I gotta boast a bit . . . . my daughter just called to tell me that our oldest granddaughter, all of 12 years old now, just got her first 'gig' as a choreographer for their church's dance/drama team . . . they were so excited -- and so is gramma! . . . we've known for about 3 years that Ashley has quite a gift for this, and finally this is a chance for her to get to use that gift. She doesn't know when the drama/dance group will be performing the piece, but when the do, I wanna go see it!

Thanks for the hug, Barb. I just got up from a nap a bit ago and I'm feeling much better than I have for a week.

That's cool about the new shampooer! I'm glad it's you and not me going shopping again. I think I would have groaned.

Leah, how exciting for Ashley!

Maggie, I'm glad you had a good nap. So much work there for you.

Barb, how was the shopping?

The doctor called me this afternoon. I go for the biopsy on Tuesday morning.

Dee, I'll be praying for you.

Maggie, are things any easier?

Leah, I believe I know exactly how you feel about Ashley's achievements. My grandson is 12 and is great on the football field. Nothing can express the joy of seeing your grandchildren be successful. Congratulations grandma.

Barb, I thought the perfect dress was found already. Don't forget to stop and have something to eat and drink so you all can chat and have girl time that way too. Is your carpet dry?

Momma Mo, when will the decision be made about the store? Are the other members in your family over this bout of illness?

I can feel people have been praying for me. Thursdays are usually my most difficult day at work and yesterday a peace was with me all day. One more week down, one to go.

Ginny

Good Friday Morning Everyone

Dee, shopping went great.(more news to follow) Altho we did'ent have time to stop and eat anything. I stopped on the way home for a burger. I really don't like eating supper at 8:30PM tho.

Ginny,
She did find a dress..just did'ent buy it. Wanted to look at one more bridal store before she decided. Which means, that was'ent really "the one" Altho I thought it was. LOL
My carpet was dry within an hour of shampooing it. Oh, I love that new machine
I wish we would have had time to stop for supper. She had to get home and feed James tho. I just let my hubby fend for himself. He had leftovers.

OK..wedding dress news...
WE FOUND, AND SHE BOUGHT, HER DRESS
We went into the bridal store at 5:30PM. The really nice lady, that helped her throughout the whole shopping experence, helped her pick out about 20 dresses. Then the procces of elimination began. She was helped into the dress, and came out to show me. Oh, that girl could wear anything and look lovely in it.But she or I found something wrong with each dress. Then they started going through the dresses, by the price tag, before trying anymore on. Anything over $600.00 we placed away. Some dresses picked were well over $1,000.00
She tryed on one that was only $89. But it just was'ent her. So about the 7th dress, she came out and we went "Mabey" We took off the ugly belt they had on it, and that was it! She loved it, and so did I. It was the same dress maker that designed that other dress she sort of liked. She looked at the lady helping her and told her to put the other dresses away...this was the one. The total cost of the dress was $210. She was really happy. I could'ent get her to take the dress off even. She just stood there in front of the mirror and kept looking at it. Funny girl. If she rents a can-can slip, there will be no need to hem it, but the sleeve needs to be taken in some. That's something I can do even. Otherwise it fit her to a tee.
Best part is, it will hide them tennie shoes she plans to wear. LOL
I have it hanging in my closet right now. James does'ent want to see it.
We finally got out of that store around 8PM. Then she gave me a big hig and kiss..and told me she loved me. How come when they move out mom starts getting kisses again? Not that I'm complainning mind you. I LOVE IT.

Woke up to 35 degrees this morning. Brrr Tonight I will have to cover my mater plants and flowers. We are under a frost watch.

Hubby got into a car accident yesterday at work. He is fine, and so is the lady her hit with the company truck. Her car only had a small amount of damage to it and the company truck was fine. Guess he was in a blind spot, and did'ent see her comeing. That's why they are called accidents I guess. He told me when I got home from shopping.

Also my husbands neice, and her husband, were out trap shooting. Her gun jammed up so her husband was looking at it. He shot his middle toe right off!! They had to take it all off in the hospital. Poor guy. He will only be off work for 3 weeks.

My husband informed me he is takeing a half day off this afternoon. He is gonna be home at noon. Wants to cut the back yard. So I guess I could cut the front yard. Only have two little ones here today so I can do that at nap-time. Tonight I get to babysit my two granddaughters. I don't get to see Lily and Emma that much so I'm excited. Tomorrow they will be here at 3PM, and I get to keep them overnight. Amanda is standing up for a wedding..that's why I get them tonight and tomorrow.

No, Ginny, they are not. You can read the latest in my thread starting here.

I'm so glad yesterday went so well for you--or at least that you had peace in the midst of all that happened. God is good.

Barb, that is awesome about the dress! The price is good too! Too bad these dresses don't get worn more than once.

Maggie,
I know there are stores out there that "rent a wedding dress"
Altho I don't think they are in my area.
But like you said..the price was good, and most important, she loves it.
