My baby walked some more today!! WOO HOO!!!! I am so excited, it won't be long. tonight Grace said to me "Mum, I like being a kid". I asked her why "because I like playing, and I like kissing Nath and I dont want to get married".

David did not sleep well last night. He fell asleep at 9:00 (he usually goes to sleep around 10:30.) I had things to do so I didn't get to bed until 11:30. David woke up at 2:30 and ate then he ate again at 5:00 and it took him 30 minutes to finish it. We didn't get back to sleep until 5:30. Then he woke up at 7:00 and has been awake since then. I sure hope he takes a long nap today. I'm exhausted!!

4 1/2 hours of sleep is not even enough to function. I probably won't get much done today because I'm too tired. Chris is taking tomorrow off work to go to the eye doctor so I can sleep in tomorrow.

Jae - I totally get what you mean and I am seriously debating taking a break as well. I will miss ya! I absolutely love Luvs diapers and definitely will be buying those from now on. Yay for cheaper diapers and saving money!!!

I found butter that was made of nuts and of soy, it wasn't margarine I don't think. I don't like margarine, but I needed something to use in cooking when I did dairy free and it worked fine. Emily-hope you can get a nap in!! WOO HOO for Caden's sleeping!!

ORIGINAL: Sideways There's other things he's trying to say; he just needs to work on pronunciation. With my ds, when he'd say something, I'd reply brightly soemthing like "That's right, it's a <insert word he just said>" - in other words, to be positive but also so that he'd hear the correct pronunciation back (without feeling like he'd done it wrong). His pronunciation then naturally corrected itself over time without him feeling wrong about what he'd said. I think I got that approach from a book (can't remember which one offhand!)

Megan, every wife needs a break from their husband, so you are not a bad wife for that. But... I'm not sure how to say this nicely, but your husband is a parent, too. He should have some say in his son's upbringing. Now, in the baby stage it does tend to be mom who makes all the calls, and to an extent that's totally understandable. It sounds like your husband might be frustrated if he doesn't feel like he is being heard regarding his son's care. My husband was totally for spanking before becoming a parent (as was I), but as our son got older he became more and more convicted that spanking was not right for his children. We talked about it; we compromised. At a time when you're both feeling relatively happy and okay, could you do the same thing? Maybe come up with some sort of compromise? Say, you won't let him cry until he's so many months old, but then you'll do some form of Controlled Crying (not CIO), where you or hubby will check on him every 5 minutes or something? Your husband has a right to change his mind about things he believed before he ever became a father, and it behooves you both to try and sit down and talk about stuff like this.
