Revelation906 -> Supernatural Miracle Healing is part of your Salvation (9/26/2008 6:40:42 PM)

Acts 13:38-39

38 Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man Jesus forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, 39 and through him every one that believes is free from everything from which you could not be free by the law of Moses.

Supernatural Miracle Healing is part of your Salvation

Acts 8:14-17
14 The apostles in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had received the word of God, so they sent Peter and John to them. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the believers that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Welcome, Revelation906! I'm a bit confused as to what exactly that article is getting at. Could you summarize in one to two sentences for us?

Jesus not only redeemed us from sin. He also redeemed us from sickness. So it is God's will to heal each and every person, Never Never doubt it, because healing is in His redemptive plan. Not only is healing in God's redemptive plan, Jesus sealed the New Covenant with His own blood, giving us a legal right to healing (Heb. 8:6; 12:24; 13:20).[:)]

Then why are both Paul and Timothy recorded in Scripture as suffering from physical ailments? (well, OK, the thorn in the flesh isn't necessarily physical. But Paul certainly wasn't healed from it, whatever it was)
And why are so many godly Christians not healed from ailments?

That is what I would like to know MrFribbles. Context is an important part of reading scripture.

Hebrews 8:6
6But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.

Hebrews 12:24
24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Hebrews 13:20
20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,

None of these scriptures say or even suggest what you are saying.

If Supernatural Miracle Healing is part of Salvation then that means those who claim to be Christians, and all evidence point to them being Christian, yet are not healed can't be Christian.

The Book of James Chapter 5 verse 14 - 16 says,

14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If we were healed from our sicknesses and aflictions at the time of salvation then these verses would not be needed.
