hopperfan -> The Greene's Thread (9/25/2008 12:15:42 PM)
I thought we could start a thread about the Greenes! I love to hear them sing...TaRanda does a fantastic job!!!
I have a question about TaRanda...does anyone know her middle name?
Do we have any Greene's fans???
Dinana -> RE: The Greene's Thread (9/25/2008 12:55:12 PM)
I've only seen them a couple of times, so I don't think I really qualify as a fan yet! But I love the way Taranda sings!! She was really fabulous at Scott Inman's wedding, too.

I go see the Greenes whenever they are close by. Taranda is awesome. She absolutle blows it out on Redeemer, Oh Holy Night and anything else she sings.
DJSfromCleveland -> RE: The Greene's Thread (9/26/2008 7:55:30 AM)
The first time i saw the Greenes sing , it was Tim and Tony Greene, and Amy Lambert. They were awsome, and i have loved them ever since.
hopperfan -> RE: The Greene's Thread (9/26/2008 8:57:35 AM)
I too loved their sound with Amy Lambert...I recently heard them on the radio the other day, they were singing "Tears Are A Language" I love that song!
Has anyone heard anything about Tim?
mommicked -> RE: The Greene's Thread (9/26/2008 11:35:12 AM)

I enjoy the Greenes and have listened to them since Kim was with them. I only have a couple projects with Taranda and haven't seen them in concert with her apart from a few songs at NQC but I do still enjoy their sound. I recently acquired their "Glimpse of Glory" CD and love the song "In the Morning Light" which is why I got the CD in the first place.

I guess that doesn't work for me. I thought of using FreemanFan but I really like Southern Gospel as a whole even if I do have my favorites.
Seaton -> RE: The Greene's Thread (9/29/2008 7:18:46 AM)
I have been listening to the Greenes early recording, Walking In God's Sunshine. It is always interesting to hear where a group started and how they have progressed through the years. I am one recording away from having the Greenes complete discography. [:)]
hopperfan -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 9:43:04 AM)
Any updates on Tony?
Has anyone heard anything about Tim in a while...the last I heard, there was mold in this house as well...anyone know if that is true? I saw on the Gospel Greats website that Kim will be giving an update on Tim and Tony Sunday. I may have to get up and listen to it.
mommicked -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 10:03:56 AM)
i talked to Tony last week and everything with his is going ok----Tim and Amy are going to be moving near Indian Trail NC next month---[;)][;)]
hopperfan -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 12:05:54 PM)

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 4:03:09 PM)

mommicked -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 4:20:22 PM)

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/8/2008 5:37:46 PM)
Mrs. C. and I both really enjoyed that trip. Wish we could go again but my schedule will not allow us to do so. Glad we went that year. If anyone has ever thought about a Christmas trip to NYC, ck out the Greene's tour. I think they may do 2 of them now. And glad to know who you are.
durand8275 -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/9/2008 1:32:53 AM)
This is the update for Tony from the SG Wire on September 17th:
Tony Greene has informed Singing News, "My peritoneal dialysis is working well. I feel better than I have in months. I have more energy and stability as well. Keep praying that the Lord will give me a really good match for a kidney in December for my transplant."
hopperfan -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/17/2008 6:10:30 PM)
Just wanted to say Happy 40th Birthday To Tony!
JoeyWest -> RE: The Greene's Thread (10/30/2008 3:28:56 PM)
I think one of the best songs i have heard is
They'll Never Crucify Him Again
Amy tore that song up first time i heard it was at a concert and i fell in love with it.
hopperfan -> RE: The Greene's Thread (11/1/2008 10:12:07 PM)
I was listening to the radio the other day and heard the original Greenes sining When I Knelt The Blood Fell...it was live, does anyone know where I could find the original Greenes singing that on tape or anything?
SLADJ -> RE: The Greene's Thread (11/2/2008 5:22:17 PM)
Here is a youtube link of the original Greenes singing it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4EmmJV2CVc What you heard on the radio probably came from the Greens 10th anniversary live project (I have no clue where you would find one...)
