MAP2010 -> Have a problem (9/24/2008 6:52:40 PM)

Hi,

I have been talking with a man who told be that he cheated on his wife and now married to the women who he cheated on with, he said he was sorry and that he knew it was wrong of him. Yet I heard him telling a Man when he would come home late his wife never knew he was with the other women as to take pride in it or joy, I feel I must tell him I heard and it is not asking for forgiveness if one takes joy in the sin they did. But it makes me sad to think a man who be happy to do something like that, he told me before that his weakness was women. I said every man has weakness, but we must not let our weakness take control of us. I have heard he looks at almost every women with lust and now he is with his new wife who will have a child soon, what can I say to a man who has said he knows its a sin yet takes joy in telling others of it?

Thanks,

Mark

(2 Timothy 3:2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
(2 Timothy 3:3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
(2 Timothy 3:4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
(2 Timothy 3:5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(2 Timothy 3:6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
(2 Timothy 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Explain "repent" to him.

May God open his eyes.

I wouldn't jump on him based off anything you heard via rumor or gossip . . .

Kind of a confusing post there Mark...

Looks anyway like stuff that most believers don't want to know about, unless the parties involved have come to the Christian with the problem...

Well its about 3am and I'm tired but I'm not understanding what you mean, this Guy came to me for help and I talked to him about this problem. He said he was sorry for his sins and that his other Church was uncaring, I said every man has weakness but he needs to overcome it. I heard him telling his friend as a joke about his ex not knowing he was with the other women, this is not being sorry at all and I will need to set him down and talk with him. But its hard to understand a man being happy about this kind of thing, what I mean is he needs to ask am I saved and if not what he needs to do about this problem. As a Pastor I must tell him he is wrong and its not right for him to think it is funny, but I'm new and wanted other Pastors/Leaders and people of Faith to let me know what they think. Its sad that a man takes joy in hurting the mother of his child, this is an evil thing that is not good at all. He said he was sleeping with this women who is his wife now behind his wife at the time, I have learned that he left because she was 300 pounds. I think it must have been because she gave birth to one of his kids, I have my hands full with this one. If he was really sorry that would be one thing but to think its funny is another.
