So far we have no idea what Mr. Petrelli's super power is, although Matt's dad looked so worried it's either really scary or one of persuading kind.

Wasn't it Mr. Petrelli who invaded Angela's mind to paralyze her at the end of the episode, or was that Dad Parkman? You know, I love Matt, but I do hope he gets a bit more interesting. If he's as powerful as his dad, he certainly has the potential. He seems like one of the few all-out good guys. (Though I think they've maybe gone a little overboard with the gray-area good guys.)

ORIGINAL: Auben I told dh when we were watching it last night that it seemed like the producers got the idea that everyone loves Mr. Bennett because his character is so ambiguous on the whole good-evil thing. It seems like they're trying to do that with everyone this season. You're right. And it's getting out of hand. -Dan.

Comics definitely used to have a DEFINITE good and bad...but now in order to make them more "human" you have them with different problems and vices. There is a definite blur of good and evil...especially when you have a future Gabriel/Sylar as a dad...

I was just thinking in this episode that Matt Parkman is almost fated to be a father. What is it...his build or something? First his wife is pregnant, then he takes Molly in, then we have the dream sequence where he has a baby (and appears to be a SAHD) with speedy girl (I did know her name but I have 2 kids talking to me at the same time and I know I'll never be able to remember right now). They are definitely trying hard to make him a dad.

Yes, but that seems to be more of a redemption story, which isn't all that unusual in comics either. Take playboy-turned-superhero Iron Man, for instance. Or Phoenix/Jane Grey from XMen. Or Hulk, or Juggernaught...

Mr. Petrelli appears to be able to TAKE powers from people instead of picking up other people's powers. I wonder if Peter has permanently been "depowered" or if he'll begin collecting powers again. On a totally trivial Milo note, I like the new bangs. Not as long and extreme as season one emo-bangs. Less harsh than the slicked back hair. I missed a good amount of the show last night so I need to go back and rewatch.

So relieved that Hiro isn't evil. Man, the shovel-to-the-head sequence was hysterical... as was watching Ando trying to stay still during Hiro's conversation with Daphne. hahaha

Yeah, I knew Hiro couldn't be a cold-blooded killer - at least not yet... Mohinder has TOTALLY lost it! I hope Nathan and Tracy take him out!!! Mr. Petrelli is NO JOKE!!!! He totally demolished Adam - making him invincible- and now has all the powers that Peter accumulated. Oh the puppeteer dude was scary...as is Papa Parkman...but not like Daddy Petrelli

Good episode. We finally saw it. For some reason Sylar/Gabriel and Nikki/Tracy/Jessica aren't bothering me as much as they normally do. I think it's easier when he isn't trying so hard to be bad and she isn't being the weepy stripper. Did anyone else laugh hysterically when Peter said 'I'm the special one!' He is so bad at being bad. I'm glad he had his powers taken away because I'm not sure how many more episodes of dark Peter I could watch. And what is it with the tortoise? Since when can you take an African Tortoise through customs into New York? And how long is it going to be before Mr. Petrelli puts on a pair of gloves? There has to be some way he and Mrs. Petrelli had all those kids without sucking her powers. Oh yeah, and are we going to find out Linderman (and Mrs. Petrelli?) weren't all that bad because they tried to have him killed in the first place? We enjoyed this one.

Mrs. Petrelli is still a very twisted person, even if she had good reason to try and have Mr. Petrelli killed. The actress playing Nikki/Tracy/Jessica doesn't bother me very much now because her current character isn't as annoying as her previous one. Sylar...well, the writers had to do something to partially redeem him. Clarifying that his power includes an "addition to powers" and that he can learn to control the impulse accomplishes that. Poor Peter. So bad at being bad. So bad at being a hero, despite all those powers. At least, if he never gets his powers back, he still has the power of emo.

"Power of Emo," eh? For some reason that brings me to thoughts of Charlie confronting-loving the evil into submission in A Wrinkle in Time. Maybe if Pete had held that hug a little longer and then recited a long poem about his feelings (ala Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). Maybe his head would explode. I like Matt too.

Anyone see last night? I liked the Invincible-Barbie and Electro-Barbie team-up, even if it only lasted for a short amount of time.

ORIGINAL: Sideways I was snickering a bit when Peter got hurt and Claire had to dab at his wound while he was shirtless. Errrr...yeah. IMO the ick factor really came into play there. I think given their (apparently) uncle/niece relationship, that would have been crossing some boundaries neither should have been comfortable crossing, and perhaps someone else should have been dabbing at Shirtless!Peter's wounds. However...the Petrellis are a family full of bizarre relationships. Angela's relationship with all three (apparently) of her sons reeks of emotional incest.

Yeah, the Petrellis certainly can get a bit squicky, even Nathan and Peter have a more cosy relationship then I see most brothers having, but that was before Peter tried to kill Nathan twice. I am looking forward to the back-story episode. Emo bangs return for Peter!
