I think the main reason I kill threads is because I dont come in here regularily, so when I post, the thread has already pretty much exhausted itself with many postings.

Whew! Thought I'd killed a couple more a few days ago, but they managed to revive. I feel so good, I think I'll breathe new life into this one.

I feel like I killed a couple of threads lately, however a couple of others had posted in them since then, so I guess not instead.

They should give an award for the person that kills the most threads...

I have had at least 2 threads this year that never got off the ground, (read threads that I started, but never received as much as a single post.)

I've been doing better lately, so it is my pleasure to resuscitate this thread. That way, if it dies, Humble won't get the credit/blame for it.
BTW, Humble, I have one dud thread to my credit. Since I think I've only tried to start two threads, that's a 50% rate.

I'm new here and I think that I've killed a couple. I even put one in CCU for a while.

It was my first thread, over a year ago. I thought that with a membership this large I might encounter some old Tentmaker acquaintances, so I started a thread inquiring for same. No takers. Oh, well, it WAS over 20 years ago that I knew them.

I've heard some say how they like they're to be the last post on a thread.
Not me, if I am I fell like I killed them.

humbleinspirit could you post a link to the posts you started with no replys? I would like to see them.

Sorry I can't help with the tent makers thread, Rumely.

I'm so glad this one is kept up....I've been "away". I hate it when the thread was one of deep content. It makes me feel like I said something stupid and everyone is disgusted by it. (Oooooh, thread paranoia....what would we call that?)

I guess that sometimes certain threads just do not have wide appeal interest at all.

While I haven't killed any threads per say, I do have one or two threads that never got off the ground at all.

I thought this topic was pretty funny because though I am a newbie I am already doing this! I don't know if I am offending people, violating etiquette for newbies, being too serious, writing posts that are too long or what. I like to come up with thought provoking issues and new twists on old ones (thinking in my own mind that I am starting an interesting discussion). Anyway, I started two topics that went absolutely nowhere. Does it usually take time for people to answer? I get a lot of hits but no responses. Hopefully this is funny. I don't know... I'm a noob. Clue me in
