Yes I definitely agree that LOTR is more complex and for a more advanced reading audience, but there are just some little truths weaved into Narnia that have so much truth to them- especially things about Aslan that are so true about God. Narnia will always hold a place in my heart because when I did read the books I was little and the reading level didn't bother me. Nevertheless, one thing that I think is better about LOTR is that he has so much plot weaved into the books, that you can read them and then wait a year or two and you will forget some of what happened plotwise. In Narnia, if you read it two or three times, the plot gets rather boring. Not to say you can't pick up on anything new, but...
