I am glad your children were given the chance to live, Tinker. This reads like they are great people -- gifts. A book that was used by the early prolife movement (but it was asked not to use it) still has relevance. Happy Birthday to You!, written by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) in 1959. It definitely has relevance to this discussion.

Car2ner, I've tried to figure out what "death before marriage means; can you enlighten me, please? oops, death before divorce!!! my bad... thanks for asking. I'll go back and edit that old post. Just wanted to say that I really liked your all's stories. Well, not necessarily the yucky stuff but just that so many of you I've read on these threads and wished I could be like you, taken seriously in following G-d; to see people who have lived the supposed "big" sins and yet are walking with G-d gives me some hope that maybe one day I'll be able to not have the past weigh down every day.

Betterisoneday - The past is just that . . . past. If anyone has made mistakes in their past, the best thing they can do is to repent, ask for and accept Our Lord's forgiveness, forgive themselves, learn from their mistakes and go forward. The more one does that, the easier it gets . . . AND also the harder it is to be torn down by other people's judgmental attitudes and behaviors. May Our Lord abundantly bless you. HIS Peace and HIS Joy, Sharon-Marie

There are some truly amazing stories in this thread. I would like to thank all those who have shared their stories of choosing life instead of abortion. May God Bless you for your choice and sharing your story in the hope of helping others choose life. For those who find themselves contemplating ending the life of their unborn baby please consider contacting one of the following for help: Carenet/Heartbeat 1-800-395-HELP Crisis/Pregnancy Helpline 1-800-4-OPTIONS Birthright 1-800-550-4900 National Life Center 1-800-848-LOVE Bethany Christian Services1-800-238-4269 For those who have participated in abortion contact : Abortion Recovery Help 1-800-HOPE-4-ME or 1-8005-WE-CARE For more information on what you can do please visit Priests for Life Priests for Life assists people of all faiths to work to bring an end to abortion. Priests for Life invites every Christian to say the following prayer each day for an end to abortion. The prayer emphasizes our personal commitment to speak and act on behalf of the unborn child. Rather than simply asking God to do something, it acknowledges that God wants to accomplish His will through us. Prayer to End Abortion Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen For a greater respect for the dignity and value of EACH human life, from the moment of conception, until natural death. We pray to the Lord. Lord, hear our prayer. Peace, DNP

You know what, Betterisoneday? We have been there. We have had those times in our lives when we were not taken seriously by people who simply did not know any better. We merely survived those days, moved on eventually, and put them, and sometimes the people who went with them, behind us. Betterisoneday, you are on your way. Just take the ones who drag you down to the L-rd and let Him handle them and their actions. You can then just keep moving forward.

Dona Nobis Pacem These ladies and gentlemen are the cream that rose to the top, and their children are blessed as a result.

I went to high school in St. Louis, MO, and we learned the round, Dona Nobis Pacem, in choir. I found the version we sang on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PObcvn5gUeQ&feature=related. It is a very pretty round, fun to sing.

our church has a phenomenal ministry dedicated to this very subject... A women's pregnancy clinic....you can go there....get preganancy tests....sonograms...the whole thing. (of course, at no charge) it's helped close to 36,000 clients since opening in 1991. Of those who come to the clinic, and are "undecided" about what to do when faced with an "unplanned pregnancy".....almost 75% choose to keep their baby (either on their own, or place up for adoption) after visiting the clinic. The clinic has been in the same location for many years. Just this past weekend, a "mobile clinic" was unveiled at church.....it's basically a nice motorhome, with a full exam room and everything....so, they can easily go out into the community like never before....I believe their plan is 10 locations A WEEK...... That "mobile clinic" will be "on display" soon at the "Great State Fair of Texas"....and in "operation" during that time, as well......and, on TWO days during the fair, all one has to do is present a package of diapers at the gate, to get into the fair for just $1.00....ALL diapers will be used and distributed through our church's Pregnancy Center. check it out: http://www.prestonwoodpregnancy.org/index.php to read about the "community mobile sonogram unit"...... http://www.communitymobilesonogram.com/ gotta go...i could write about this all day....
