All in all, sad (to me) that an environment has been created by the tenor of this campaign where ads like these will end up getting some considerable press.

IF both candidates had stayed where they started out-talking about the issues and WHY they should be elected instead of how horrible their opponent was, we may have been spared stuff like this. Let the record distorting and half truths fly I guess!

Any attack ad from Planned Parenthood will get about as much credibility as an attack ad from PETA.

Don't compare this sleeze to the Swift Boat ads. They were a legitimate response to Kerry's claims of being a war hero who had the respect of those who served with him. The only thing wrong with those ads was how effective they were in refuting his claims. Wrong if you're a Democrat, that is.

None of the swiftboat claims were ever proven false; so comparing them to obvious lies and agenda driven ads is lludicrus at least.

And I am still waiting on Kerry to release his service records that he has claimed many times were released; but alas never were released by Kerry.

Here are a few other ads by Planned Parenthood. Very Creepy.

Take Care Down There

To my knowledge, no SBVFT accusations against Kerry's war record were ever proven true either. It was a colossal pack of lies.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we have this type of political "discourse" in America today.

If you feel that the Swiftboat attack ads were a legitimate tactic (much the same as Mr. McCain's contentions about Mr. Obama and Mr. Obama's supporters - not he but his supporters - response is) in a PRESIDENTIAL campaign, then I guess there's really not much more to say except "Teacher, he hit me back!"

I just wish we could all leave elementary school and talk for a few mintues about how we plan to keep the U.S. out of bankruptcy. THAT might be a somewhat interesting topic for the future leader of the world's largest economy (and the crafter of the budget for that economy).

And who would be better for that? Obama/Biden, who will not just tax and spend, but tax, spend, AND borrow, or McCain/Palin, both with records of cutting spending and battling pork and wasteful spending?

You didn't pay attention. Kerry's fellow sailors reminded people that:
- He accused them of widespread war crimes, accusations he was unable to back up. Those happened on many occassions and are on tape.

- He held meetings in Detroit called Winter Soldier where he brought in soldiers to tell of American atrocities. The Detroit Free Press found some of the soldiers were never where they said they were, some were never in Vietnam, and sill others were not even soldiers.

"They (Winter Soldier so-called vets) told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan..."

Democrats love comparing our soldiers to Genghis Kahn's army. Sen Dick Durbin, senior senator from IL, did the same thing a couple of years ago. Forty years of hating our military and counting.

Excellent question-I wish either of the candidates had decided to try to give an answer to that question instead of picking on nuances of each other's personality and/or presence of mind in front of a microphone.

NEITHER candidate has forwarded a meaningful platform of any form to deal with the real elephant in the room-the national debt and current account deficit of the United States. This crisis is now showing up in a lot of ways-from higher gas prices to rising inflation and fewer job opportunities. Instead of spending a campaign throwing meaningless insults at each other, I really wish each of them would show how they plan to deal with what will be the biggest crisis most of us will ever see with regards to our nation. If Warren Buffet, Peter Peterson and a former Comptroller General of the United States have to beat the drum but no public figure (of any real consequence) has stepped up to help out, that is a REAL problem.

People have been talking about the problem for well over 20 years and NO ONE is doing anything about it. Now that it has reached critical mass and we're really about 1 or 2 bubble bursts away from a real quagmire, the fact that we STILL have no meaningful public discourse on this issue quite frankly disturbs me-but instead we are ready to work ourselves up in a lather over pigs and lipstick. Hey, sit down with that loaf of bread there-I can't see the circus!!!

And one of those times was before congress.

Kerry should have been tried for insurrection and treason.
