Don675 -> BRETT FAVRE COVERAGE (9/11/2008 5:23:00 PM)

Its interesting to note that the JETS first game was on prime time
on sunday with BRETT and they won the game.
Also the PACKERS were on monday nite with the home game in GREEN
BAY and they won also.
I think there will a comparison between the two teams because of the
fact BRETT is gone to another team[all season].
I will say this for BRETT he is not a spoiled super star like MANNY
RAMIREZ.He plays all out every game 110 % injured or not.He has a
fault in that he changed his mind but he a great attitude and is a credit
to the NFL and Mississippi.

Churches should have outside on their signs:

"God will never leave you for the Jets."

I went to the Patroits-Jets game sunday and Brett looked good at times and horrable at others. I think he is going to need a couple of weeks before he is the brett we all remember

He had a number of games with Green Bay that were horrible too. Only now that he's attained near sainthood, we don't hear much about them.

Yes BRETT had interceptions i know but take a look at all the records
that he broke in GREEN BAY.Remember this BRETT FAVRE did not have
a good offensive line as QBs like PAYTON MANNING have.Just think
how much more he could have accomplished if he had a good offensive
line.Also at times their defense was not the best.
I look at all the wins they posted in GREEN BAY while BRETT FAVRE
was there.

Hey, I've been a big Green Bay fan since the Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Jim Taylor days. Brett had some good days and some bad ones. When he was on, he was great. When he was off, he was horrible. It wasn't all because of his line. Just remember his last performance as a Packer that put the Giants in the Super Bowl. I love Brett for all he did for the Pack, but he also stunk up the place at times.

Packers 2-1 with Aaron Rodgers! [:D]

frog43 -> RE: BRETT FAVRE COVERAGE (9/29/2008 9:07:48 PM)

Packers are 2-2 with Rogers, who is already whining about being hurt. Brett has never missed starting a game. How soon is Aaron going to miss a start due to injury?

Yankee Nut -> RE: BRETT FAVRE COVERAGE (9/29/2008 10:44:54 PM)

No Talk about Brett's six touchdowns yet? Well let me be the first then. I was actually suprised to hear that he had never thrown for six touchdowns before. Simply Amazeing

He had thrown five INT's in a game before. Maybe he'll break that personal best this year, too.[;)]

I didn't expect it to be the very next week. [:D]

I'd like to see how well you would play with a shoulder sprain.

That's not my point. I still think the Packers were wrong in not keeping Favre. And now, if only from the standpoint of durability, I think that all of us who think they were wrong are being proven right. I have nothing against Aaron Rogers personally. Ted Thompson, now that's a different story.

davemiller7 -> RE: BRETT FAVRE COVERAGE (10/3/2008 6:04:08 PM)

I thought they should have kept him at first, but he has been making a habit of "thinking of retiring" for several years now. The club can't keep catering to that kind of stuff, no matter who it is. Now, I think it's time the Packers moved on. It may be a little painful for a while, but they'll be better off for doing so in the long run.
