Congrats, Yolanda!!!! Can I echo Sandy's WOOT!?!

My hubby has been spending some time lately studying up on starting his own business as well. He's wanted to be a WAHD/H for a long time now. I guess one of my goals should be to encourage him in that. Because I have my doubts, but he's extremely intelligent and has a lot of wisdom to boot. I'm sure he can do it if it's what God wants. It just sort of scares me!

Jae, can I ask you to expand on seeing Jason's purpose on earth? I have an idea what you might mean, but I'm curious.

My ear hurts today. I can't even lay on my right side.

Brandy, did you figure out the couscous? I googled it, but found everything from 1:1 to 2:1.

We're still in the process of getting the room ready, but we plan to have him settled there before Christmas, and the baby is due in January. But Elizabeth will be in our room for a little while, anyhow, so it's not like she'll be moving directly into his old room.

About getting him to stay in his new bed? Well, I plan to have the room completely ready and have him play in in for a little while before we move to nighttime/naptime usage. Then I am already braced for a rough first week. We'll just have to be very consistent and understand that it won't be instantaneous process to have him sleeping in a new bed that he can actually get in and out of.

Sounds like you're super prepared! For Hannah she didn't have so much trouble at night staying in her room (though she still does occasionally get out and come to the bannister for us)...it was naptime that we struggled with for a while. It was hard on us...but she knew the rules and wasn't listening so she had to have the consequences. Poor dear and her buns-buns.

Jason has many talents, but he's been feeling very lost for a few years trying to figure out what his purpose on this earth is. What kind of job should he have/do. What is his purpose in the body of Christ, etc. I'd love to see how he finds his answers and what comes from them.

You know, I wonder how common that is among people our age. Both Dustin and I have had similar feelings off and on during the time we've known each other. Though I think D ultimately knows where he wants to end up, he's not sure how to get there and what to do in between.

Me? I can never make up my mind.

I know what you mean. It is wonderful to see our "other half" fulfilling what God has for them. I hope you do get to see that, Jae.

A couple years ago, someone spoke a word over Brian that I didn't understand at all then. I think I'm starting to get it now...and it is wonderful to see unfold!

I'd like to add these goals to my list...
-Move to the country and own some land
-Plant a sizeable garden on that land and can/freeze produce for use throughout the year
-Have another baby (or two or three!)
-I'd like to homeschool but am uncertain at this point if we'll do that or not
Austin would probably like a different job (though he's pretty happy where he's at) where he's outdoors more.

Jennifer, do you know signlanguage?

Jae, I love your avatar!!!

Do you remember the brand of couscous you have? Maybe you could call the manufacturer?

Where is his passion - what is he passionate about? Identifying our passion a good place to start in terms of seeking what God would have us do.

Sweet! It's a date!!! I'm going to hold you to that one now.

Brandy - when I do couscous I do 1:1.

Well I had my first laundry mishap today. I washed a blue crayon. It wasn't so much the washing of the crayon that was the problem, it was the drying of the crayon. Luckily it was in with the dark clothes. I put spray and wash on the ones that were stained and washed them twice again and it came out, but it was still frustrating....and the inside of the dryer has blue swirls that aren't coming out!

It's bulk from the Co-Op Crystal. I thought I had kept the previous versions container. When I get to the store next I will for sure be looking on packages!

Morning ladies!

I'm still on vacation. I sent Chase to daycare today since I'm paying for it anyway, and I need to get lots done around here. I'm about 3 weeks behind on laundry, so I'm digging out my bedroom and laundry room. I need to clean out the car and wash it, then pack and get ready to leave early early in the morning tomorrow for our big road trip!

I miss y'all...what's up with everyone? Anybody have big plans for Thanksgiving weekend (canucks?)

Hi Yolanda! We're just going to my mom's for dinner on Sunday, she's having us and her husbands family, so it will be pretty big. She bought the biggest turkey I have ever seen in my life! Other than that, no big plans.

Have a wonderful trip Yo, any big plans once you're there?

Ugh...I have a sore throat. So today I think I'm going to get my cleaning and phone calls done early and then I'm going to curl up with a book for the rest of the day.

Nope, no plans, we'll only be there for saturday and sunday, we're driving back on monday. Probably we'll just hang around with family.

I'd love to take Chase to Rideau hall and get pictures and stuff, but it depends how far we are from there, I'm not even sure how far my Aunt lives from there.

MMM, I can't wait for turkey dinner

Turkey dinner does sound good, I think I'm going to add it to our menu even though our Thanksgiving isn't for another month or so.

Ok, I don't know why that link didn't work since it worked just fine for me.. must be my cookies or something. They are very similar since they are just older/newer models of the same camera. I'm looking for something in the $300 price range so anything SLR is pretty much out. Advanced "point and shoot" seems to be our best option, which is ok since I'm not looking to change lenses or anything... not yet anyway.

Tammy- I know some sign- I took a class ages ago, but I'm no expert- I know enough that if a deaf person were in absolute need of a translater, we'd be able to muddle through together with sign recognition and finger spelling to a point that I could get the message, but I haven't been able to "use" it, so I look up a lot or substitute similar things.

Lexi- you may need to scrape the dryer with a credit card type scraper to get the crayon off and not have it continue melting on other clothes...

How are you ladies doing for Christmas this year? Are you counting on big sales? Done already? I pretty much know what else I need to buy for the girls, but I'm thinking that there should be some crazy sales with the way people are restricting their spending right now. I'd hate to buy now b/c i can and miss a huge sale next month. Last week, I got buy two get one free Little People at toysrus, which covered Anna's bday and my two nephew's first birthdays, so I was happy with that...

Christmas -- it's not going to be huge for us, not because of money, but just because it's wasteful for us. My kids don't play with 90% of their toys, so it's pointless to buy them more. Isabel is getting a set of doll furniture, I KNOW she will play with that. And she's getting an Ariel baby doll and maybe a puzzle. Isaac is getting a board game, a Little Einstein rocket, and a cartridge for his v-smile. That's probably about it for our kiddos! Since that's all we're buying, I don't think I'll need to wait for any of the sales. I don't have the patience for Black Friday shopping, LOL.

Christmas... I started shopping in earnest a couple of weeks ago, but I tend to accumulate things all year round when I find good clearance sales. I don't think we'll buy much for Gabby, she doesn't play with the majority of her toys. She'll probably get some more Little People but I can't think of much else to buy her...maybe a new pair of shoes since hers are so expensive. My nieces are getting homemade dresses like the ones Rachel made for Isabel. dNephew will only be 4 months old, so he will probably just get a cute outfit or a car seat "cozy". We'll probably draw names for my siblings and we aren't buying for adult siblings anymore.

Ryanne - I know nothing about camera's so I can't offer up any thoughts on the matter. I can say they both look nice!

Rachel - What is a v-smile?

Christmas? I don't see many gifts in our Christmas future. Jadon will still be so young that even if we got him gifts I don't think he'd know what to do with it. He'd probably play with the box more than the gift. LOL. The biggest thing for me this Christmas season is looking at what traditions I want to start with my family. Same with Thanksgiving.

V-smile is Isaac's handheld video game for pre-schoolers. It has learning games. That is, if he didn't fry it by plugging his daddy's phone charger into it.

Hubby and I have not bought each other Christmas gifts since we were dating.
