are you opposed to putting on an episode of Curious George? No, not at all except my lil' guy is not a tv watcher. I have tried every show that I am ok with him watching and it will keep his attention for a few minutes and then he is on to something else. He does not like to sit still at all...he is a busy, busy, busy little boy. That's interesting. Nathan likes to keep active for sure. But he went through a real love of TV stage, where he'd beg for TV. We keep it limited, and his fascination has waned, but he still likes to veg out for a half hour or so. We had a nice morning. It was cloudy, so we went for a walk then the park. It was so nice not to have to deal with the hot sun and 90 degree temps.

(((Nicole))) Hope you feel better! So naptime is officially started! I think I am going to take a rest time until 2, clean until 3, and then go take a shower if he still napping. I hate days where I feel touched out and used up. Oh I did forget to mention I finally made an appointment to get contacts...woo hoo! I am so ready to not have to wear glasses all the time so hopefully I do not have trouble putting them in and out. I am really nervous about it and I don't know why. I am ready and my appointment is on Wednesday so we will see if anyone notices the change.

Nicole, have you relayed all of this to your doctor? The severity of it all I mean? Chelle, sounds like a good compromise. Speaking of which... I should go clean the kitchen. That's great, though about the contacts.

Nicole, have you ever tried Pamprin? It's specifically geared toward PMS symptoms, way better than just plain ol ibuprofen. Is it PMS you are suffering from? I didn't see that in your post. Thanks for the hugs. Yeah, it kinda sucks this time of year. I didn't actually lose anyone I know. Just my country being so violated in the biggest way, and they still aren't paying for it because they're wussies who can't own up to it and fight us head on like a man. Instead, they keep sending sucker punches like the cowards they are. I seriously cannot wait until the end of the system so they can be judged and then destroyed. They'll be so moded.

Jack has learned to flush....and he likes it.....so every time he goes to the potty he thinks he has to flush first, then sit on the toilet, then flush again, then sit again....etc. Usually I hear 6 flushes or so!!!! ......trying to see the positive, that he is potty training. Oh my! Akeelah loves flushing the toilet, does it all the time....except for when she uses the toilet. She just gets off and looks at me. She understands what the flushing is for though, because she'll flush when other people use it. Apparently, you're not supposed to flush the toilet for yourself, you get other people to do it! Nicole - sorry you aren't feeling well...maybe they'll invite you next year! I used to feel the same way as you at that time - cramps, sharp pains that would paralyze me for about 5 seconds. I had to stay home from school for the first couple of days. (btw...our gas is $1.36...craziness...but why is yours more expensive when you actually have oil out there?) Chelle - my husband and I were talking the other day about the good old days when Akeelah would watch tv - there was only one show and it was 15 minutes long, so we would put it on and scramble to get as much done as we could. quote:
That is why I never open the door for a package I'm not expecting Yeah, I know our regular postman so I only open the door if it's him. If it's someone else I just let them take the package to the post office and I pick it up there. That's why I'm glad we have a peephole. I don't even open the door if I don't recognize the person. With the number of people coming and going in our building, anyone can slip in. And it reminds me of an episode of Criminal Minds I saw once.

I don't even look through the peep hole because we have two slender windows one on each side of our front door that people can see if you are coming even with shears in them. I remember my mom being the same way when we were little and that was 20 years ago. The UPS and Fedex guys usually knock and go, they don't even wait for you to open the door to sign. They will leave the package on the front step and I like it that way.

Nathan has taken a nearly record-breaking nap, but I got a good rest and some good housework done. If he doesn't want to go to bed at 8pm, it's okay. It's Friday night, and we can enjoy some family time.

Ok, Nicole I'll go read that....good thing you told me b/c I didn't get the notice that I had a message. Oh, you asked yesterday how the kittens were. I put them back outside and they're all doing good. They are eating real food now (all but one of them) and the mama kitty is letting them nurse some again. I have some family in east Texas too. They are pretty far inland though so I don't know how things will be for them. Probably really really wet!
