Wow, I guess we know who the 1 "No" vote belongs to...

And I didn't say she successfully banned a book, only that she tried. Hopefully the kids that emulate Palin will be more effective, too.

Sorry, but this particular falsehood about Gov. Palin attempting to ban books has been thoroughly debunked. See here. (factcheck.org)

It was a particularly ludicrous attempt at a smear because the list of books she supposedly tried to ban included ones that hadn't even been published at the time.

Another, fuller, balanced account: http://www.adn.com/sarah-palin/story/515512.html

No offense, but did you read the relevant section on factcheck.org? It covered the same material and included more information, specifically addressing the supposed list of books.

Also, the implication that factcheck.org is somehow a biased source seems unwarranted. If you look at the home page, in fact, the top story is calling the McCain-Palin campaign to task for distorting the site's findings in the very article I linked.

-Robb

Robb, I don't think factcheck is biased at all! In fact, I like it.

In this case, factcheck, correctly exposed the lies in an email. The email, however, touched on some truth, which was not discussed (as the purpose was to put down the lies). The article told the whole story.

I do forsee Palin becoming a role model for young women. I think many, many people in this country have been way offbase when they talk about what women believe. I've seen so many people erroneously state that women in this country are pro-choice, for example. It's like politicians are afraid that if they take a pro-life position than the women of the U.S.A. won't vote for them. They are wrong, and it's so great to see a woman who reflect the real values of American women.

I think it is a little early to decide if she is going to become an icon. If I was a betting man, I would say probably, but not just yet.

Thanks

I hope she becomes a role model. We need more women working in government; they have much more sense than men, in my opinion. And I certainly hope her husband contributes to the rise of the stay-at-home dad.

Palin made my eight year old daughter mad. My daughter thinks that her chance of being the first female president just went out the window.

Palin wears her hair like Tina Fey. Which one are the imitating?

However, when Tina Fey portrays her on SNL this week, she will have to take off her clunky old out-of-style glasses and put on Palin's in-high-demand and uber stylish Kawasaki 704 glasses to imitate her

Perhaps I wasn't very clear. My daughter wants to be the first female president. Now, she thinks that Sarah Palin will beat her to it.

I got it the first time, funny, I think that would make a great commercial for them too lol. Your daughter have cuteness appeal? That's the kind gushy emotion feeling stuff that wins over liberal voters too.

She's cute to me, but I am biased. I don't think I would let her do it even if they asked. People are getting so nasty when it comes to criticizing Palin, and I wouldn't want to expose her to that. I still am trying to talk her out of running for president, but she has her 8 year old mind made up.

OIC!

I agree with reason, it would be an adorable commercial!
