Oh bummer, I changed my avatar, so now your post doesn't make any sense.

(You did make a very excellent post, though.)

Cranky, it's still devilish. I'm sure if you read what those peppers spell backwards it's a very evil thing. In another language. Or something.

Hmmm, now I see women wearing pants.

Oh, the horror of it! I am doomed!
I used to say that I had never bought any men's pants to wear, but the other day, I bought some pants from a women's department, and when I put them on a couple days later, discovered, to my chagrin, that they zipped on the wrong side of the fly!

They are black, velvety pants, shaped with a narrower waist and wider hips like women's clothing, and otherwise fit me like any other women's pants, but I am concerned. In great consternation, I ask you, Earthless, oh mighty one:

  1. Should I just wear them?
  2. Should I burn them?
  3. Will I go to hell for already having worn them?
  4. Are they evil?
  5. Are they occult?

Oh my, I never knew that there were men's and women's zippers! Also, I got a jacket once that someone gave me a long time ago. I thought it was a mans jacket, but I found something in one of the pockets that pertaineth to a woman instead.

Then I had a mans jacket that I bought from Sears also, it was in a light blue color. It wasn't too bad at the time because it was almost the style of the time. Then a few years later, I felt very uncomfortable wearing it, the jacket was too feminine in colors even though it was a mans jacket! But anyway.

I enjoy running in fun runs and they usually have unisex tshirts for each run. I usually get one.

I'm doomed...

what makes you think I am a he? I already told you I am female...

you know I really want to be a friend even though I may not agree with what you say all the time....just because we do not agree does not mean we cannot still be friends...

is there an issue with that?

the bible does says to love one another...

1 John 2
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. 8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 john 3
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 john 4
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

1 john 5
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

I want to live in the light therefore I choose to love instead of hate....this is the law I try to follow...I say I try because sometimes my flesh is not dead to sin and acts out from time to time I am not perfect.

So I would like to be your friend even though we have difference of opinion and difference in beliefs in the word. Mind you I do not claim to know all the bible so I do not stand and say I am right and you are wrong. The LORD has shown me and will continue to do so when I am in error. I am constantly reading HIS word and seeking HIS face for "TRUTH". This is all I want is TRUTH about HIM and HIS Kingdom.

so I offer a olive branch to you Sir (Earthless) a olive branch of Friendship...do you accept?

Yeah, if you ever buy any pants and wonder why you have to turn your hand oddly to zip them up, the zipper is on the women's side, Humble! Buttons? Same thing!

I'm assuming so since they never offer "men's" or "women's"

Wintery,

I believe your avatar is blasphemous.

1. he's smiling
2. he's holding his cup in an unmasculine manner
3. his mug is rather, um, feminine
4. his tie is black, like the heart of satan
5. his shirt is white like an evil door to door false teacher
6. there is a light shining behind his head, and we all know satan masquerades as an angel of light
7. he appears to have used an abundance of hair product

Did you notice the hanky in the coat pocket? It isn't obvious because the picture is B&W, but, trust me, it's PINK.

As in commie pinko.

As in sweet boy.

As in Pepto Bismol!

I've always thought of Riker as the perfect avatar for you.

I never liked him on that show, though.

(just kidding Jimbo! your post made me laugh!)

I don't think anyone really believed me about the pink, 'cause everybody knows the proper color for hankies in NW Alabama is CRIMSON!

That's really true, Jimbo, but I never bought into it.

Of course most friends and relatives are indeed Crimson touters.

I'm a UNA Lion, if anything, but I like for all teams from Alabama to do well...even Troy!

When I moved to Alabama in 1980, I had no idea just how seriously these folk take football. I made the mistake of telling a joke (can't remember now if it was on Auburn or Alabama) to an otherwise very funloving man. He let me know in no uncertain terms that he did not find the joke the least bit funny.

I've tread lightly ever sense - usually.

It really is a disease. People who otherwise appear sensible lose it over football.

It's not just in Alabama. I heard a Knoxville pastor say that if Tennessee loses on Saturday, everyone in church is down on Sunday morning...but if Tennessee wins, everyone is happy and praising God!

Yep. PFY threads are really chat threads and since this thread was moved to PFY, well, it's turned into a chat which is why none of these threads really have topics even if they started out with a topic.

Earthless is one of the most well-rounded men I know, so he's interested in all these topics.

I used to be well-rounded but after eliminating things like sugary desserts and processed flour from my diet and taking up regular exercise, I'm more on the lean, mean side.
