I've heard that if we focus only on the negative characteristics of our parents, thinking "I so don't want to become like that", we most likely will. Its something I try to keep in mind because sometimes its way to easy for me to see the bad points instead of the good points.

Great point sunluvingirl........

As we share about our parents and reflect on how they have shaped us it is worth considering what the bible says about curses and blessings.......they were important enough to be placed in the bible they are probably important enough for us spend some time considering.

( on a side note I am getting all teary eyed........blessed by adversity by the love of others.......what a powerful testimony)
