wlb03 -> Roller coaster marriage (9/1/2008 10:58:35 PM)

I feel like Im in such a bad place in my marriage! One day is fine and the next Im ready to quit. Today I took my rings off and am just so tired of this roller coaster ride with my husband. I think my husband should be on medication to help his moods but he would never take them. One time I suggested this to him and he was very angry. We started marriage counseling but only went to a few and have not gone back, husbands choice. I want to have a happy family life instead of waiting for the next train wreck to hit. My step son is much like his dad and shows little respect, which leads to more disagreements. Im not sure what I should do at this point. I have been with my husband for 10 years, we married a couple years ago. I thought it was right thing to do for us and kids. Our son ask me if we are going to divorce and tells me how upset he would be if this happens, he is only nine. Any advise?

Hi wlb03...Has your husband always been this way (moody)?

You mentioned he would not take medication. Would he attend Christian marriage counseling?

How about a Bible study for married couples, or a marriage retreat. I'm just wondering if your church has anything like this to offer you.

I hope you put your rings back on and remember your vows "Better or for worse." If he is a faithful husband, and has stuck with you through your ups and downs, it is only right that you seek counseling, even for yourself, if he just won't go.

Do you remember what it was that brought you together in the first place? Are their children?
