frog43 -> RE: The Mentalist (9/1/2008 8:38:48 PM)

Yes, that's one I intend to check out.

jodavi -> RE: The Mentalist (9/3/2008 12:03:44 PM)

Count me in-- we will be checking it out too.

debilyn -> RE: The Mentalist (10/1/2008 3:53:40 PM)

So after two episodes, how does it stack up?

I find it very interesting. He is an intriguing character. The show definitely makes you think.

frog43 -> RE: The Mentalist (10/1/2008 11:55:11 PM)

I like it. I like that he has no authority, yet still solves the cases. I like that he is not so serious. And he is very cute. [;)]

ebony101 -> RE: The Mentalist (10/2/2008 1:31:38 AM)

Darn! I keep forgetting to watch it & now I've missed two episodes. I need to put a reminder on my phone.

Jenny-Fair -> RE: The Mentalist (10/2/2008 1:22:11 PM)

You can still catch the pilot on cbs.com but I have not seen the second episode up yet.

StephK -> RE: The Mentalist (10/2/2008 3:14:36 PM)

I like it!

I agree, it's an interesting show. Kind of a cross between "The Profiler" and "Psych"... although both shows were/are better by quite a bit.

doinkdom -> RE: The Mentalist (10/6/2008 1:47:29 PM)

We gave Fringe 2 weeks as a new show.
We've given the Mentalist 2 weeks as a new show.

They come on at the same time.

We're going back to the Fringe, since we both agree on that.

I'll have to watch the summer reruns of it.[;)]

zoebob -> RE: The Mentalist (10/6/2008 1:56:18 PM)

I liked the pilot. I haven't watched episode 2 yet.

Focusing -> RE: The Mentalist (10/6/2008 2:07:03 PM)

I like this show. He is quite the observer, isn't he? [:D]

frog43 -> RE: The Mentalist (10/6/2008 2:45:39 PM)

I think I would be very self-conscious around him. [;)]

Cindy.GlorySite -> RE: The Mentalist (10/16/2008 12:28:07 PM)

I really like this show too. I am a big fan of Monk and Psych, and we try to figure it out ourselves. Fun. Looking forward to more episodes on all of them.

Cindy

sunshinesoprano -> RE: The Mentalist (10/16/2008 3:09:52 PM)

I think he's such a cutie pie anyway...I am definitely liking this show.

Zhi -> RE: The Mentalist (10/16/2008 4:23:31 PM)

You don't have to wait for reruns if you have a decent connection, you can see the episodes at http://www.cbs.com/video/?showname=primetime/the_mentalist#video

doinkdom -> RE: The Mentalist (10/16/2008 4:54:40 PM)

I do...so I will have to check that out

thanks!

jodavi -> RE: The Mentalist (10/19/2008 10:16:03 PM)

'used to watch Fringe but gave up on that show so we started watching this show and so far we're enjoying it.

zoebob -> RE: The Mentalist (11/19/2008 9:24:44 AM)

I'm enjoying this. Anyone else still watching? I also started watching 11th hour which seems a sort of cross between Mentalist and Numb3rs

Leslie_JnJs_mom -> RE: The Mentalist (11/19/2008 4:03:05 PM)

Isn't that so sad what happened to his family.

JP67 -> RE: The Mentalist (12/2/2008 8:57:08 PM)

This is our new favorite show. We really like this one.
I try not to add too many new shows each season but this one I had to watch and am so glad I did!

MamaMilty -> RE: The Mentalist (12/3/2008 5:31:30 PM)

This is on our must see list, too. I like the head CBI officer, too. That actress has come a long way from grungy teen movies!

debilyn -> RE: The Mentalist (12/4/2008 8:49:00 AM)

I like the way the humor creeps in. Reminds me a little of M*A*S*H, the way the humor creeps in with the storyline, no matter how sad-bad-difficult.

It's fun to watch Patrick James figure things out. How he deals with folks and watches them is very interesting.

DaveW -> RE: The Mentalist (12/5/2008 7:03:56 AM)

I am enjoying this show as well. Baker's character is amazing and well played. It is difficult to tell when he is being serious and when he is yanking someone's chain. That is part of the charm.

So what do you think? Was he being serious when he said what he was going to do when he caught the guy that slaughtered his family?

frog43 -> RE: The Mentalist (12/5/2008 10:10:17 PM)

I thought he was serious.
