I made 140 copies this morning. No two alike, unfortunately. I was halfway through my spelling book when I realized that the nice young man behind me would probably cut it off the spine, so I had him do that to my grammar book, and that made copying much easier! Now I have to put the book back together, though, lol.

Tell me why deli food is nowhere near as good as homemade. I mean, I buy my ingredients at the same store! But I skipped breakfast (which I hardly ever do) and needed something quick and easy.

Ryanne helped me figure out an interview outfit. I am so NOT a suits person and every woman in this office wears one. In my regular clothes I have been overdressed for the last six or seven jobs I worked at. I did have to go buy some hose.

If I needed a suit, I'd have to go shopping, and you know how much I love that.

Uh, yes, I am all too familiar with your feelings about shopping.

I wouldn't have a problem if I had a hundred bucks or so to spend, but I don't. And I have never had a summer office job, so my summer clothes are mostly short denim skirts and tops that are cute but not good for office wear. And flip flops or sandals or tennis shoes, lol. So my outfit for today will actually be a bit more fall-ish than is perfectly correct for this weather, but oh, well.

As long as you look professional, it won't matter. Go in, knock 'em dead, and get the job. I'll be praying.

Thank you. If you could also pray that I find either my passport or my SS card before I have to leave, I'd appreciate it.

ETA--well, that was quick! Thank you, Lord!

If I can't wear jeans....oh well.......
That's awful, right???

RANT
Dh is yelling 'cause I spent too much money...i can see why, too, Dd and her kids were brought to my house in the middle of the night...so I went and bought a couple of hundred dollars worth of groceries...then put some gas in her vehicle after we went and got it and then there's the check for the vet for her cat..I am just sick and tired of him yelling at me about money when he can do what he wants with the money he gets which is about 3x as much as what I have.

Anyhow, I feel angry with everyone...Dh 'cause I wanted to be out of the apartment a LONG time before now and he keeps stalling..keep in mind he controls most ( about 3/4 of it) of the money and does what he wants with it>he never wants to sit down to figure out what we are going to do for the month, he just does what he wants. There's been more than once that he would tell me we would have X amount and end up with almost nothing instead!

I am angry with DD 'cause her oldest THINKS he can just TAKE over and I told him differently last night. He thought he could just tip over a chair, I blew up. I told him that I didn't care if he lived in his truck or at his Uncles..(he KNOWS he would not act the way he's been acting if he was there) I told him it was MY house and he would respect it and said I was giving him 7 days..I know I meant to leave but I didn't say what for sure..I know I totally lost it. WELL instead of Dd saying something like "Grandma's right! you can't act that way"...she says "He won't listen, he's like his father...and then goes on to say that I have never made him listen to ME! Keep in mind I wasn't even around the kid for about 7 or more of his 13 years because we lived in Missouri and they lived in MI!!!!!She takes him and the other two kids and leaves...and has probably went back to the Dad's who the kids can't be around....
I am just sick and tired of getting it from everyone!
I don't even think I can homeschool Ds with Dh home 'cause he blew up at Ds too. I have just totally had it with trying to help everyone and then getting stabbed in the back or screamed at!!!!

It's not right that I can't even homeschool Ds without getting in an argument. Ds really wants to homeschool this year, too... I feel like running away....

Jen, do you get your Levity online? I'm thinking of getting some...if we ever get a disability check.

I don't, but my grandmother is on their automatic plan, I think. I buy mine at Super Supplements, which is the only place I can find them in person. And I always get the Levity Plus but if you already take a regular multivitamin, then they have the regular Levity, which are just tiny one-a-day pills.

ETA--in the beginning, if you take regular Levity, I would double up for a week.

(((((Judy))))))

(((Judy's ds)))

You can do this, Judy. The grace of God is going to see you through. Cast your cares, dear sister.

I have BTDT with helping people and getting stabbed in the back. It's part and parcel of helping people in this fallen world. I don't know why it works that way, but it almost always does. OUCH!

At first, anyway.

We allowed a young mom and her newborn baby to live move in with us after her baby was born. I babysat while she studied for her GED, though a government program helped pay for babysitting while she worked. We took care of everything she needed, except baby supplies. We even saved her "rent" money to bless her with when she left.

Originally she planned to stay six months. She moved out after five months, because she thought it was "too controlling" that I insisted she go to church with us on Sunday mornings.

But now, starting around the baby's first birthday and until today, she calls me for advice and to share her needs and all her special good news.

So when I write that I think it will get better, I believe so based on my experience. Hang in there!

On a brighter note: Yay! We are done with school for today!

I am loving BJUPress Spanish III. It is so fun to have a sit down face to face class with my son again.

David has decided to take on German at that Live Mocha site that Ezri found. He is really enjoying it. I wish that it taught Latin. David wants to learn Latin, but we just haven't put out the money for a good course or found a good free curriculum that would work for us.

Latin is hard for me! I once had all the trimmings for a Latin course, but even though I spoke Spanish (a Latin language!) I just could not get into the Latin.

If I hadn't already given it away I would let you have it, Ellie-Mae!

Ug!!! Ds1 has ingrown toenails. Again. They were getting better but we knew he needed surgery. We planned to have it done after his race this coming weekend. Except, they've flared up again. He just came down and showed me. Yah, at 4:15. He's uncertain he'll be able to race. I know that dh is gonna be on my case--I'm a terrible mother for not taking care of this, etc... Uh, two parents here. If YOU thought it was so bad, how come YOU didn't do something about it?!

Overall, it has been a very frustrating day.

Praying the interview goes well, Jen.

Jake just dropped two of his college classes. I'm not upset, I just don't know how Merv will take it. He dropped health and speech. He's staying in the EMT class. He said he likes that class because he'll use what he's learining. He doesn't see any value in the other two. I'm just glad he's being honest and dropping out soon enough so that he'll get his money back. He can work hard if it's something he wants and he doesn't get grossed out by medical stuff. I think the pace of an ER might be just what he needs. I did tell him he needs to pick up more hours at Farm King or somewhere. I just keep praying that he'll find his niche. If he ever decides he wants a degree, he could do it, but there's no use wasting time and money if he's not going to buckle down.

WHEW! I caught up!! Boy you ladies were chatty while I was gone!!

Mel - welcome back!

Donna - what a sweet girl you have there! Gotta go check out the other pics!

(((Cynthia))) - praying for safe travels for you all & for comfort for the whole family!

((((Ez)))) - praying for all of you!

Jen - praying for the interview!

Well - it was supposed to be our first day of school today, but the teacher just wasn't ready! I told dh that next year I need to plan in a week of prep! Anyway - we did go to MOPS & I started putting stuff from last year away. Dh & I need to do budget & pay bills tonight (we tried to do it yesterday, but the computer was acting up - this time not printing ). Now I"m off to answer some e-mails that stressed me out earlier today, so I decided to ignore them! Somehow, I'm thinking they're still in the inbox (as my mom would say "they didn't grow legs & walk away" )!

I'm back. It went ok but, 'the job market just isn't what it used to be' and 'don't get discouraged if it takes us a while to place you'. Ugh. I'm already discouraged. My twelve year old is bringing in more income than I am!

I looked at livemocha and it says it's only for older than 13 so younger kids can't use it.

Zoebob, I prayed for you.

Nate will be 13 next month. He might use it for German.

Zoe, It won't be long before DD1 can use it.

One thing that I discovered though is that if you sign up for one of the classes, the kids will hang over your shoulders while you do it and learn it that way. My kids are really fascinated by it, even if it was supposed to be for me or David.

{{{Judy}}} Tough love again, sister, but your dh is treating you like this because you are allowing him to. You can rant all ya want, but if you're not willing to make some changes, you're gonna keep getting what you've always gotten. I truly don't mean to sound unsympathetic, but it hurts me to watch you allowing yourself to be abused like this.

Jen, the job market isn't what it used to be? Really? Never woulda guessed. We've probably discussed this before, but can you clean houses? Everyone I know who's doing that (and I know several people) has all the work they want.

His, I hear ya - I was working last night, and Brandon missed his pills because dh didn't know what he was supposed to take. Umm, you are his parent too.
