To Ninjaearth: Sorry for your loss. May God guide you through this difficult time. I lost my mother back in July just a week before my birthday. To fluffmonkey: First off, love your name and avatar! ^__^ Is it your wedding? If so, then congrats! I haven't done much, but I've been dreading Friday when I start jury duty (its for the BIG court!). I know I should do my patriotic duty, but it couldn't have come at a worse time. I was hoping to get a job at the Dallas Museum of Art during their King Tut exhibit in their gift shop, since I have plenty of sales experience. If I get picked and it takes several months, I won't even get a chance to at least volunteer at the museum. Secretly I hope it isn't a murder case. Those can take up to a year. -__- ~Lily~

Thanks everyone! I really do appreciate your prayers. Trusting God is something I've never stopped doing; not trusting Him has been more difficult over the years, especially this past year. He dealt with me on that last year and this year, around this time, is when I had to learn that lesson. I do believe and trust that God will work out something, just not sure what, but I'm preparing to do what to do what's necessary to continue working and saving up money for this transition. In the end, things will work out, one way or the other, however God chooses to do that!

The first part of my week has been very busy. We had a ton of kids in ISS and in Focus the last 2 days. On top of that my allergies have been really bad. But, I'm feeling better today and I have no one in ISS today :) I started dog sitting last night. I'm doing it for a whole week this time, so hopefully I get some more sleep than last time I dog sat. Plus my best friend, who moved to Colorado last month, is in town for a visit. She's staying with me (and the dogs) for the next few days. Yay :D

lol...it's been cool here lately. Enough to have a jacket and run around like crazy. However, it was a bit cold yesterday which was nothing a cup of coffee with some warm hot grits, bacon, and a bagel couldn't fix.

Greetings Francesca! Name's Ninja; welcome back lol. Senior in high school eh? Are you an honor student? What are you planning to do afterwards? I'm used to be in college up until a couple of months ago; I'm working on moving to another state right now and am going to eventually look to finishing my BA degree online while I work full-time. I'm a junior, but I still have time to go before I'm done with college completely. Seems like you have some good interest. I think most of us here enjoy a good portion of that, although I'm quite the videogamer. Anyway, glad to have ya join us!

ORIGINAL: fluffmonkey mine seems busy and tiring lol I second that motion! I've got to go lay down and try to sleep...try being the key word here, I can't seem to fall asleep very well here lately, my mind keeps racing. And when I do shut my eyes, I can always see Singing Boy's face and hear him laugh, I can't get him off my mind... which is good and bad I guess! Good because it is a nice picture to have in my head, bad because I need to focus on college right now!!

It's been pretty busy this last week! It was a good weekend. I went to my best friends baby shower Saturday and then relaxed after that. Sunday, I went to a Bridal Show with my mom, so I got lots of good ideas there. I started my second job this week too! Jesuschick - I LOVE your avatar. That movie is one of my very favorites! Isn't Mr. Darcy dreamy?

Well, my weekend will be a bit relaxing except for tomorrow. And just a brief update, my clearance for the job finally came through on Tuesday so I started working officially on Wednesday. I'm a dedicated aid to a special ed student who requires supervision at all times due to behavior issues as well as to assist him with his classwork. So, it's definitely one-to-one and I absolutely love it. The school, this section anyway (a double-decker school if you will) is where students with special needs and behavioral issues are placed in a special program to help curve their behavior as well as to develop their academic skills to the appropriate level. I know my with my student, if he doesn't do well, he will be placed in a level five school/program which is basically "you are incorrigible and need the highest help possible for your behavior" or something like that. In rephrase, he will essentially be on his own without help next year. He did fairly well my first day, but progressively, he has not done very well and I had to write him up yesterday and he also struggled with me in the hallway after I took him by the arm to lead him back into class. He did the same thing again today, but more on the extreme front; at one point, the poor kid begged me not to take him to the ISS room (In school suspension) which is basically the danger room of the entire program and it is my personal last resort to discipline him for his behavior. Gotta be honest, I have a soft side so instead of taking him there today I just took him to the library and let him calm down; he did a great job finishing his work and was able to go outside and play; he is in the seventh grade. Now, I keep a point sheet and 60 or more points is a good day; he fell short ten points of that yesterday, but today sadly it's not even close to sixty. Nevertheless, I think this kid knows now that he can't mess with me. I was asked earlier whether or not he was testing me, but if he was I know I passed as of today: he finally said "I don't want you to be my dedicated aid anymore." I laughed and asked why and he said that he just didn't want to me to be. So, hey, I know I got the hang of this kid now that he is ready to get rid of me just after three days. lol....I love that part!!! Now, back to my weekend. I have located a new place to live; a nice room in a house in the Hyattsville area of Maryland (by the famous Fed-Ex field, home of the Washington Redskins) and I move in tomorrow afternoon. It's a nice spacious room, and the house is absolutely marvelous. I have everything I need there, including internet, and even a nice little place to keep my tv. So, aside from that, I will be rehearsing my new routine for going to and leaving work on that side of town as well as getting some other things in place for my transition to Hutchinson, KS either in December or later (my gf and I are still talking about that, but I did originally planned to stay and work here to save up for a car and then move at the end of the school year). And Monday is Columbus day and the District of Columbia is closing their schools; so that means I have a three-day weekend, which for the first time (probably ever) I am actually very disappointed!!! I want to work, I don't want to stay home; being doing that enough, but.....at least I do get to do some other needed things in the meantime that are necessary like changing my address over and starting a new bank account. Other than that, I will be enjoying my new place and getting use to the place as well as just relax for more fun and games on Tuesday at school. BTW, did I mention how much I love my job, although I'm a contractor? I guess education is my field afterall because I never leave the school mad or angry but fulfilled and satisfied that I'm actually making the difference I really wanted to as an educator. I look to continue this once I"m in Hutch eventually; para educating is my life both as a professional and as a tutor!

I"m keeping busy now that I"m working. It's been fun and challenging but I love it. I"m just glad that soon the paycheck will role in weekly (I get paid each week with my first one being next week and then onward) and using it towards the expenses I have set for some bills and Christmas travel plans. I miss my girlfriend very much and all I can think about now is being back with her and holding her in my arms, wanting to never let go. That and to visit some other places in KS for future housing and jobs, as I am planning on moving there soon, waiting for the right door at this point. I know she misses me like crazy (it's on her FB status now) and someday I want to have her be mine officially and I want to be hers forever. Nevertheless, working and getting used to my new place has taken it's tool on me, but I can't complain. Soon, just a little bit longer, I'll be with my honey again! That, I look forward to very much!!!

AWWW!! That is so sweet ninja! Hey, you are going to be near my neck of the woods if you move to KS, way rockin'! Oh yeah? What part of KS? I used to live in Hillsboro for a while and was my original destination, but it may be my ultimate destination in the future once I'm done with all my mechanics (i.e. school, grad school, etc) within the next several years. I want to be in Hutch to be close to Helen so we can have time to spend together; that one week sure was a blast, but we'll have many more weeks together. I actually love Kansas and I"m glad I spent some time there. I do believe it's the place I've been looking for and that place God has been leading me to all these years. For me, it's like a mini promised land because it provides everything I need in such a way where I can actually make a decent and valuable living there.
