GVfan -> Gaither Stuff (8/31/2008 6:42:12 AM)

I got the 2008 Fall Collection Catalog from the Gaither folks. It looks like most of the DVD/CD sets are $19.95! Have I been asleep at the wheel? I thought most of his stuff was $29.95 for a DVD/CD set!

I'm going to look at the product table at NQC before I buy anything that I'd have to pay shipping for.

Weird! I had not noticed that before. But are those 1 CD/1 DVD sets?

Yes. Every time I have looked at them they've been $29.95. Except at stores, I didn't know you could buy a single CD or a single DVD.....always in pairs (which I think was a marketing ploy).

DJSfromCleveland -> RE: Gaither Stuff (8/31/2008 9:13:49 AM)

Yes, all the older ones are only $19.95. I think the new releases are still at $29.95. So that new Country Bluegrass set would be the newest release.

I suppose it is. But then, Gaither is a marketing genius, and he knows that if he has enough good songs on both, we'll want both.[:)]

gospelady -> RE: Gaither Stuff (8/31/2008 10:11:59 AM)

The new ones are $29.95 or $59.95 for 2 sets. The older ones that he has put on DVD are $19.95.

Okay! I thought Rock of Ages, Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art were pretty new, but I guess they're a year or so old now. Maybe you're right!!!!! Thanks.

So if you but the sets of two you pay a nickle more??????

Actually, the 2-sets package is $59.90.

Psst... you can find the new Gaither CDs and DVDs in the Christian CD section of Target for 13.95 each! The DVD's are in the jewel cases like the CDs but have DVD on the front. I always snap 'em up whenever I find them. [:D]

sgf_brad -> RE: Gaither Stuff (8/31/2008 2:31:58 PM)

I know most of the Gaither Homecoming CDs, Gaither Vocal Band CDs, etc. have recently been lowered to $13.99 in the stores. I think they used to be $16.99 for just the CD. I buy a lot more CDs than DVDs so I notice their prices more.

baritone77 -> RE: Gaither Stuff (8/31/2008 4:14:08 PM)

I pick up some of mine at Target but I buy most of them from DeepDiscount.com. They range in prices from $12.29 for the Bluegrass ones to $13.52 for most recent ones and they have free shipping too.

New releases sell for $29.95 for a DVD/CD combination.

Slightly older releases are $19.95 for a DVD/CD combination.

Elderly releases you can get for $14.95 for both.

I don't think that you can beat this in any store. The best I have ever seen for new DVDs outside a Gaither catalog or concert is $9.99, which I paid for several older DVDs that were on clearance at a Christian bookstore.

The Gaither folks will let you mix and match DVD/CD combos, which I have done on several occasions, both at concerts and ordering by telephone. For example you might purchase the Turn Your Radio On CD and the Moments To Remember DVD for a total of $14.95.

And they usually have a deal where you get any DVD (or cd if you prefer) if you purchase $100.00 worth of product.

I usually save my money up and buy at a concert (no tax or shipping).

I'm looking forward to their new Christmas album. Does anyone know where I can listen to sound clips from it? I've been looking at many places that have it listed for a release date of September 30, but no sound clips.

I found a link to some but they are pulling up a bluegrass group. I emailed the company, maybe they will correct it soon.

Thank you. I hope they can get that fixed!

Clips are the right songs on 9,10,11.

hopperfan -> RE: Gaither Stuff (9/24/2008 11:58:39 AM)

I bought the Gaither Vocal Band's new cd...I love their song When I Cry. It is a great song. The Home Of Your Dreams I think is a great song as well...it gives a great description of our HOME. The Vocal Band did an outstanding job on this one. My only complaint ( if you will) is that Guy didn't have as many solo parts...I love his voice.

Dinana -> RE: Gaither Stuff (9/24/2008 12:57:44 PM)

My favorite on the new CD is There Is Always a Place at the Table - featuring Wes Hampton!
