barchinal -> What would Jesus say to a group entering Heaven? (8/26/2008 1:31:28 PM)

Soon, I will have the honor of portraying Jesus in Judgement House and I need a little advice on greeting people.
Imagine a group of people have been granted a sneak preview of Heaven. What will Jesus say to the group upon entering Heaven? This is not about what He will say to each individual, but His opening phrase as He greets them in Heaven.
Last year when I did this I started by saying "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest" then I welcomed them to Heaven and spoke to each one individually.
So, what are your thoughts as to what Jesus would say?

LOL -- I can think of a lot of phrases, but probably not what you need.

Why not say what he Himself said when greeting a group? "Peace be upon you." Or as the angels repeatedly said, "Fear not!"

Well, if you want something short, you could always go with "Welcome home!"

Do not be afraid – I will save you. I have called you by name – you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

"Goats on the left, sheep on the right"?

quote:

"Goats on the left, sheep on the right"?

That's along the lines of what I was thinking.

Or maybe... "Why should I let you in?"

This is my opinion. When you see Jesus sitting at the judgement seat, He will either say to you:

1. "I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness."

OR

2. "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
