Stewart_Varnado or SVarnado etc. Truth is, I post so seldom that I forget my screenname and/or passwords. Please, write them down so you can keep on posting with us. We welcome you any time & under any name. It is good to hear from the artist anytime.

I have to agree that the Dixie Echoes have become one of my favorite groups traveling right now. They are coming here in a few weeks and the "buzz" is already in the air. When Tracy left I was disappointed but the first time Pat was here with the group I quickly noticed they hadn't missed a beat! Their concerts seem to be so anointed by God, their style is so simplistic & yet so professional...it is just a refreshing evening every time they come!

I'm just glad the Firefox browser offers a way to save form data like user names and passwords. It has saved me from having to recreate new accounts more times than I can count. There's also a program called Roboform you can use to do the same thing.

Just an update from The concert...The Dixie Echoes still have it going! The concert was well attended and I don't think anyone there couldn't feel the presence of God. The new tenor blended well and Pat's version of "How Big is God" gives you those spiritual "goosebumps" I also appreciated their availability to the audience after the concert as well, regardless of age.

ORIGINAL: dbmurray I just noticed Walmart has several collections of Dixie Echoes songs for sale as downloads. I listened to a few of the clips. I may have to buy some of these. Any ideas on who is singing on any of these songs? http://mp3.walmart.com/store/search?action=all&keyword=dixie+echoes David, I think most of Volume I has Coy Cook, Dale Shelnut, Joe Whitfield, and J.G. Whitfield. Calvin Runion may be the bass singer on some of these songs. I don't have the LP in my hand, but I think I recognize several of the songs from Volume II as being from their first LP with George Forbis, Jack Toney, Joe Whitfield, and J.G. Whitfield. I think the balance of the recording has Cook and Shelnut as tenor and lead. Volume III has songs from "Shades of Thought" with Larry Ford, Dale Shelnut, Joe Whitfield, and Ken Turner. I believe this should be rather accurate. Hope it helps! John Crenshaw
