I absolutely LOVE cemeteries. Ever since I was younger I would go to them just to have my time alone. I would talk and I would pray to God. It was just as one of you said...a peaceful place for me and still is today!
I wrote an essay on my immense enjoyment of cemeteries when I was a senior. Yea, lots of people thought I was weird. And most people think it is creepy. To me there is nothing creepy about it.
I know where I am going after the grave. So why should it bother me? I'm confident that I belong to Jesus and that death is just a pass on to eternal life with my Maker!
Yay!
I usually like to look and find the oldest buried person and the youngest, but when I find the youngest I usually cry.
We also used to do scavenger hunts and incorporate the graveyards in them. Yep.
